Lorraine Kelly - Mentions Brenda In Her Column
A few Weeks ago Lorraine Kelly did a large 'piece' on Internet Trolls in her Saturday Column in 'The Sun'.
In it she was very unkind & misleading about Brenda & the content of her Tweets.
Despite Brenda having died since then, Lorraine has mentioned her again in her Saturday 18th October Column in 'The Sun'.
She has done another 'piece' on Internet Trolling & in it she refers to Gerry & Kate McCann & Brenda:,
"I have had my share of trolls dipping their paws in poison and quivering with indignation every time I interview
Kate & Gerry McCann.
And God knows that poor couple have been horribly vilified online and even accused of killing their daughter Madeleine.
Just weeks ago, Brenda Leyland apparently committed suicide after it was discovered she had sent a barrage of tweets criticising
Madeleine's mum and dad.
It was later reported she herself had received online death threats.
Her suicide was tragic and again illustrated how murky social media has become".

Re: Lorraine Kelly - Mentions Brenda In Her Column
It seems like everyone who raises questions about the McCanns is now a 'troll'. Still, it's an old trick. Apply a label like 'troll' to someone, attribute their questions to some fault in themselves, such as being 'twisted' or 'having no life', and you have all the excuse you need to avoid looking at the content of their claims. Things like evidence and inconsistencies in the accepted version of events. Good grief, if you look at things like that, you actually have to think!

Hermes333 quoted Lorraine Kelly:

We don't know if it was suicide Lorraine.
It is not social media that has become murky, but rather the main stream media, Lorraine, for whom you work.

Exactly all the MSM stating it was a suicide before we have even had a coroner's inquest which was postponed until December. Now not only are they judge and jury but know more than the coroner.Snifferdog wrote:Hermes333 quoted Lorraine Kelly:

Pfft the net was fine until government & MSN stuck their noses in trying to tell people how to behave. Instead of constantly blubbing about nasty people having a differing opinion and labling them trolls. Perhaps they should be something more worthwhile like doing something more about catching perverts online.

Re: Lorraine Kelly - Mentions Brenda In Her Column
The 'Mail Online' reports that the Government has decided to raise the maximum prison sentence for Internet 'Trolls' from 6 Months to 2 Years.
The question is - will this new sentencing & 'clampdown' be used to try to silence anyone in the UK who questions Gerry & Kate's claims about
Madeleine being 'Abducted'? (Or to try to silence any other views that the UK Government does not approve of?).
In its report the 'Mail Online' says this about Brenda:,
"Earlier this month, 63-year-old Brenda Leyland, who subjected the family of missing Madeleine McCann to online abuse, was found dead in a hotel after being confronted outside her home by a Sky News reporter.
Mrs Leyland was one of a number of trolls who compounded Gerry and Kate McCann’s distress by abusing them on social media. One tweet read: ‘#mccann To Kate and Gerry, you will be hated by millions for the rest of your miserable, evil, conniving lives, have a nice day!’
Mr McCann commented at the time: ‘Clearly something needs to be done about the abuse on the internet. I think we probably need more people charged.’"

What about the abuse that was subjected to Madeleine McCann? Perhaps that is the real issue here?
Sky are such prats. Pathetic. Honestly, the whole organisation is utter rubbish.

Re: Lorraine Kelly - Mentions Brenda In Her Column
Lorraine Kelly knows for a fact that this was a suicide does she? Well, she is making sure that the idea is placed in the heads of the public.
Typical Kelly type manipulation - what sort of woman is she?
