Case Closed!?!? - brought to you by Bollux Media and Criminal Profiler Pat Brown
It has been a long six years for Kate and Gerry McCann. After the Portuguese police bungled the investigation of the kidnapping of their daughter, Madeleine, who was abducted from their vacation flat in Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007, the McCanns have endured being made suspects in their own daughter's disappearance and then suffered years of fruitless searching by their own private investigators, never coming any closer to finding out what had happened to their daughter.
In 2011, The Met (New Scotland Yard) launched Operation Grange, spending two years and nearly ten million pounds following every lead and tip generated by the PJ and the McCann's PIs post-the-evening of May 3rd, making absolutely no progress at all.
But, in a stunning turnabout just as the McCann's libel trial against Goncalo Amaral comes to a close, Andy Redwood of Scotland Yard has uncovered who kidnapped Madeleine McCann and what they have done with her, according to an unidentified source of Bollux Media.
When Operation Grange reached no conclusion after an incredible number of man hours and money had been frittered away, Redwood decided to use a surprising investigative technique; he would go back to the actual events of the evening of the crime. Although he was unable to get the cooperation of the parents of the missing child or cooperation of any of the friends who dined together with the parents on the night Madeleine went missing, he was able to get the cooperation of the television media and a bunch of actors (including a very capable porn star) and scripted a very believable version of what occurred that evening. Redwood thrilled the public with his incredible breakthrough moment in the case wherein he disclosed that the Tanner sighting was really that of a vacationer who was wandering about in circles with his child trying to locate his apartment which he had misplaced. He then went on to reveal that the Smith sighting of Gerry McCann was now the correct sighting and he was looking forward to the public telling him who they thought it was now that they could show the world the sketches the McCanns had hidden for years.
Lots of callers identified Gerry McCann, but a couple of folks said it was a burglar they knew from the neighborhood and the pieces fell into place. Redwood discovered that a flurry of phone calls had been made by a three man burglary ring that this man was a part of, a number before 10 pm and another number of phone calls a couple of hours later.
Today, Scotland Yard detectives have interviewed the men of the burglary ring and through a clever investigative interrogation method in which the men were asked what they thought a bunch of burglars might have done if they were involved in the crime, they related the following story:
Just after Gerry and Kate's friend looked in on the McCann children, one of the burglars entered the apartment through the unlocked sliding door. Although he knew the layout of the apartment and that any valuables would likely be either in the living room or in the large bedroom, for some reason he felt drawn to go into the smaller of the bedrooms first. When he entered the room, a small girl awoke and began screaming. Without thinking of the possible results, the startled burglar put his hand over her mouth. Being a small child, his hand accidentally covered her nose as well and after a short time, the girl stop breathing. Thinking he had quieted the girl, the burglar released his hand and then made the horrific discovery that he had smothered the child. Panicked, he called his fellow burglars on their cells to ask what he should do and they decided the best plan would be to remove the child from the flat so as to leave no evidence of what had happened. One of the burglars posted himself at the back of the flat, the other in the front, and the burglar inside raised the window. When all was clear, he passed the deceased child through the window to the burglar waiting outside. Having worn gloves to the burglary, no prints were left in the apartment.
The burglar receiving the body of Madeleine then carried the child back to his Praia da Luz flat passing by the Smith family on the way. One of the burglars went to retrieve his boat and the other patrolled the area between the flat and the beach. During this time, the trio kept in touch by cell phone. When the streets became quiet enough to quickly move Madeleine's body from the apartment to the boat, this action was completed and Madeleine's body was disposed at sea.
Scotland Yard is hoping the Portuguese prosecutor will arrest the three suspects and take the case forward to court; however, they feel this is unlikely because the Portuguese prosecutor claims there is insufficient evidence due to the PJ mishandling the case for six years. There is no physical evidence remaining after all this time, and there is a refusal on the part of the suspects to make a full confession.
Kate and Gerry McCann have issued a statement thanking Andy Redwood and Scotland Yard for absolving them of any wrongdoing in the death of their daughter and uncovering a story of her death which is not too awful. They also want the public to know that The Fund will remain active until Madeleine's body is found and brought home for a proper interment.

Seriously though, this has got me thinking back to whether the Mccanns have ever offered a reward for Maddie's safe return, or for info. If so, surely a down on his luck burglar, as one of the trio, would have come forward by now to reveal what he knew? I can't remember whether or not a reward has ever been offered, but if not, this might be why?

Not bad to get that together after a week of her going missing. Obviously a pittance to any possible abductors/burglars/traffickers/gypsies/tractor drivers that were all jointly responsible.

I'm pleased that Pat Brown has highlighted the fact that the McCanns are trying to blag money off kind-hearted folk still, via the posh new donate buttons (up to £100 denomination).
The McCanns have no business begging from the public. What other limited company sells goods and solicits money at the same time.
What is the legal position for begging on the internet? Any legal beagle know?
Tim Scott, their QC said in the WOC hearing : A Fund was set up to finance the search and many people, often those who could barely afford it, have given generously to that fund. I wonder if half of them knew it was going on suing people.
What a disgrace!

From Pat Brown's story:
This just makes me sad, if it means what I think it does, which is that Madeleine's death at the hands of three burglar/pedophiles was fairly innocuous, as opposed to the actual horrors which would likely befall a little girl abducted by a gang of pedophiles. How clean and convenient. Absolution for them and none of the horrific truth of what her life would really have been like, in a "hellish lair" with child-rapists, if their tales were true.
and uncovering a story of her death which is not too awful.

And the Burglar was very neat too. The bed wasn't that messy either, so he must have easily picked her up without struggle.
So When Kate (with a grin taking the mick, on tv show) tried to blame the restaurant for having wrote down she needed a table because they were leaving their children alone in their beds, she meant the burglars had read the book in the restaurant and decided to strike?

and those low lifers also had a education, because if kate could understand the notes in the book it must been in plain english!
so there must be a gang of three, with an excellent cleaning ability, they understand english, they could work under time pressure and they like phoning and know how to be untraceable , they also did not have dna, but cadaverine in there body's to left behind, they had a marvelous knowledge of child sedation and they are still in portugal in a village and not known for almost 7 years. also they are great in disguise, from short to quite big, sometimes looks like a woman, sometimes as a father, know how not to behave or look as a tourist. but could do gypsey's and tractorman and a handyman. they can drive a car, a scooter, sail a boat or row away on low tides.
maybe could fly out with no sign left.
it must be that sy will hire them, not making arrests!
and they don't leak to the press!

But that's been the remit all along imo. This story won't fly however, it's plainly too ridiculous for words.
We're waiting for the next fairy tale. It's interesting that suddenly the mobile phone traffic came to the fore, starting (mentioned by Brunt) last summer - hard on the heels of an in depth report on the higly unusual phone patterns during the holiday week by the main players. This report was presented to the PJ and to SY as well. Compiled by Kikoratton, whose jprofession was to analyse phone traffic.
And phone activity that week is most peculiar, so strange in fact that according to Gerry, he never had those 14 messages on the 2nd of May. (See e.g. expresso interview).
Well obviously not on his phone anymore ( one can see how important it is to wipe the memory of one's mobile an hour or so after your child is abducted by a paedo) but recorded on the local mast.

In which case, they need Captain Scarlet to solve the case, not Andy Redwood.

The Expresso interview mentioned by tigger makes interesting viewing.....about 1 minute in on the Youtube video.
https://youtu.be/7P-z5HJxr0o
Gerry is talking about the text messages and suddenly stops, as if realising he is saying the wrong thing and referring to the wrong day. He then has difficulty finding the right words and tries to correct himself....Then Kate interrupts to try to help him out of his tricky situation.

Quite.
Has anyone found the copy of the reception diary to which Kate refers in her book ?
She says specifically that it was amongst the papers released by the PJ, and she says it twice, so it must be true.
It wasn’t until a year later, when I was combing through the Portuguese police files, that I discovered that the note requesting our block booking was written in a staff message book, which sat on a desk at the pool reception for most of the day.
AND
Combing through the files, I despaired. It was only now that I became aware of just how cursory some of the police work had been. Vital questions had not been asked, alibis not verified, lines of inquiry left dangling or, at best, not adequately documented. There is no doubt that the police were overwhelmed, both by having to deal with a crime of this nature under such scrutiny and by the sheer volume of information pouring in. The systems and resources they needed simply weren’t there. I felt some sympathy with them over the challenges they faced, and it was clear that Paulo Rebelo, who replaced Gonçalo Amaral as coordinator of the investigation, had tried to make up for some of the initial inadequacies by checking back for anything that had been overlooked. But the discovery of each missed opportunity was another twist of the knife in my chest.
It was here I found the receptionist’s note in the Ocean Club staff message book explaining that we wanted to book the Tapas restaurant for the rest of the week because we were leaving our children alone in our apartments. I was dismayed. This was a glaring green light to a child-taker – and yet no mention is made of it in the files until December 2007. December 2007!
Has anyone found it ? The date of December 2007 is very specific.
Or is it, Kevin, a LIE.

And this once again illustrates the McCann lie when interviewed about the crying incident, when they claimed they didn't know if they'd get into the Tapas on the 3rd.

Oh, dear.
"Hoisted by One’s Own Petard" springs to mind on the 'neglect' issue and gives the recently discussed 'doing a McCann' quote, total justification.
What's 'good for the goose' and all that!
Does anyone know what the NSPCC, RSPoA, or Social Services said to the McCanns, or any of the T9, about this 'responsible parenting'?
"leaving our children alone in our apartments"
I know what the 'authorities' would say to 'sink estate' parents if they did THAT!
ps: Could HOBS comment on KM's use of the word 'our' and 'apartmentS' (plural) (encompassing the whole of the T9 should 'neglect' charges have been levelled at them?)

Re: Case Closed!?!? - brought to you by Bollux Media and Criminal Profiler Pat Brown
We know from Kate's book of the truth that the burglars, who left in a state of panic with the child, managed to calm themselves enough to close
[ in the order that Kate came upon them when going to do her check]
the gate onto the street
the safety gate at the top of the steps
the patio doors
the patio curtains
because no child of 3 would have done all of the above upon exiting via the patio doors, says Kate. I agree.
The only alternative was entry via the front door, for which a key was required, there being no sign of forced entry. So the burglars had a key or they did enter via the patio doors, but in their panic the leader managed to delegate, as you do when in a tizz.
I will carry the kid, you act as look-out and you close everything behind us.
I have been burgled, first thing I noticed, partially open patio doors, dogs in the garden, room a mess.
Now where did I post that 3 stooges burglar photo .....?

Clearly the note was created to give more weight to the abductor fairytale but what sort of person doesn't realise how bad it sounds to tell reception that you're leaving your children alone whilst you dine all week?! If they're happy for the general public to believe that they are selfish, neglectful parents then I dread to think what they are actually covering up.

Gerry is talking about the text messages and suddenly stops, as if realising he is saying the wrong thing and referring to the wrong day. He then has difficulty finding the right words and tries to correct himself....Then Kate interrupts to try to help him out of his tricky situation.
Could some of the calls/texts deleted from their own phones be tests of the PAYG phones that they would use around the time of the "abduction"? Sorry, have read all the phone stuff but it was one area where the sheer volume of data defeated me.
