Let’s put up more stickers and posters. And let’s pray that one day soon, like the families of Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus, her mother’s unerring faith will be rewarded.

Neighbors: Man in custody comforted missing girl's mom, helped search for missing Ohio women

In the years after his friend's daughter vanished while walking home from school, Ariel Castro handed out fliers with the 14-year-old's photo and performed music at a fundraiser held in her honor.

Oh dear, we've had nice but dim Lorraine Kelly making a similar comment and now the slightly more sensible journalists are coming out with it.

I have no problem with agreeing that missing children or young adults are sometimes found alive after many years and perhaps the circumstances of how they disappeared are not relevant.

However, journalists aren't taking into account the evidence that suggests that the McCanns are not telling the truth, not to mention their behaviour ever since, unable at times to hide what a big joke this all is.

This case is I believe truly unique and cannot be compared with any others.

Parts of the article are beautifully written, although I find the judgmental criticism of the mother who thought that her daughter had run away from home rather unkind.

I note the writer mentioned Ben and Kerry Needham. She should at the end of this article, speaking of renewed hope for Maddie and keeping her face in our minds, have also mentioned Ben's face and there should have also been a photo of him. They are both missing British children.

Perhaps, they know Ben's mum- unlike the McCanns- doesn't revel in such stories where the victims have had to endure hellish conditions for years before they are found. Gerry even mentioned the absolutely sickening case of Sabine Dardenne once Article in todays Daily Mail 173510
