Home office is committed to the Search!!!
Search for the perpetrator/s I hope!
Surely Op Grange is nearing the end of the road now......what are they looking for?
If abductor, they are never to find him in a million year - NO CHANCE.
If they look closer to home, they will hit gold.

Agree with your comments aiyoyo, how can they find someone who never existed, except in the McCanns mind.
Comment from a poster on the artical; It's high time for clear justification of the money and time spent on one missing child case. The family also continue to ask for funds. Taxpayers have a right to know exactly how their cash is being spent, and what new evidence has come to light
So why can't the McCanns justify how they spend the money from the Madeleine fund?
Why do the newspapers keep showing the photo from 2007, and not the age progression one or even put them side by side?
I wonder who's put the HS under pressure and the police to give a press conference?

Re: Scotland Yard Maddie McCann quiz bill soars to £4.5m
Home office say they are committed to the search.
What search, I thought it was a review of the files and Portugese police investigation
If it has been a search then the question is have Mr. & Mrs. contributed to the bill, plenty money still in the Fighting Fund which was set up to search for poor little Maddie??
Maybe they have and that is why they have "temporarily" stopped their own private search?
The public need to know exactly what is going on and how their money is being used and whether Maddie's parents have been asked to help fund any search.
The Express seem to be keeping an eye on things.

This is another example that shows the lies the public are constently fed by the TPTB/media/governments and how they are taking the right P*** on their real other agenda. £4.5 million! Anyone with an IQ over 5 has seen from an initial reading of the Tapas 9 statements that there is something very inconsistent & wrong, but it seems after spending £4.5 million of taxpayers they are not even looking at them. I mean, just how totally corrupt is all this
And how come the Express are allowed to use the word 'mystery'. I thought the mccanns banned everyone from using this word in our rights to freedom of speech?

It would be interesting to know who amongst OP Grange is the journo's source that they are making "good progress".
Progress as in what? Nearing the end of the paper trail or nearer to charging the Perp?
Theresa May will this week face pressure to explain in detail........? This week?
What's is going to happen soon that Theresa May suddenly has to explain value for money?
Is Op Grange going to wind the Review SOON with a verdict that does not justify the spending of taxpayers money?
Otherwise why would Theresa May face pressure (from who?) to explain in detail value for money.
If they are about to charge someone then surely that is value for money.
This ambiguous reporting is doing my head in.

I made good progress after one night of reading the files, and this cost zero pounds

Mrs. did have a very big smile on her mush on wee Kelly's sofa.
Maybe she has heard of the good progress being made in the search for missing Maddie? as well as being pleased to be running for Missing People charity and raising funds for the worthy cause?

McTravesty.
When one considers how many people are refused life-saving medication, due to funding and postcode lottery, which costs a tiny fraction of the total McSpend, one has to start wondering why Madeleine is deemed as being so much more "valuable" than any other British citizen.
If the Government can spend MILLIONS on one who has likely passed away, but refuse a few thousand for the SAVING of another persons life, it really raises some serious questions about the perceived value of different individuals.
We must ask ourselves why one three year old girl is worth more to the Government, than the many other individuals whose lives could be saved by a similar amount of money.
If this question were to be answered honestly, I think we'd be pretty close to solving this.

Smokeand mirrors, only today have I heard from a friend who is a very young mum and she has advanced bowel cancer and has been told if she requires the particular type of Chemo she has had twice and been given good quality remission that she will have to pay for it herself. She would require 12 sessions and it is 5k a session. Now don't tell me it is from a different 'purse' because I have more than one purse but if needs must I delve into my maybe purse if I have to.

Exactly! She is not deemed to be "worth" £60,000 but Madeleine is worth £4,500,000? Why?
Sorry to hear about your friend, I sincerely hope she can appeal or find the means for her treatment.

Thank you Smokeandmirrors, sadly she will have to self fund, with any help she/we can muster. Only needs 3 people to raise 20K each running a marathon doesn't it. It will not cure her but give her time with her young family, and they with her. Stinks.

What the review has cost to date would fund 75 courses f treatment for people like your friend, and give children and families that priceless extra time, or possible recovery. How can this possibly be right? One life (or indeed possible death) cannot be measured as "more" than a potential 75 other lives. To distribute public funds in the way they are doing is quite simply corruption at it's worst. Criminal.
Like everything to do with the McCann case, from the expenditure to the way they throw their legal might around with apparent impunity, it is all so totally unjust. It epitomises a lack of fairness in the world. They've had far, far more than their fair share of everything now. Money, media airtime, attention etc. There are other far more pressing priorities in the world than this case. They are just very insignificant in the bigger scheme of things. Their are other cases that deserve time and attention too, time for the McCanns to be airbrushed out of the picture.

Re: Scotland Yard Maddie McCann quiz bill soars to £4.5m
Do we really want them to be airbrushed ...? After all this time? When we're 99% certain they have some involvement in or at least guilty knowledge of her disappearance? With all of the money and fame they collected on top of that? No ... not me. I would want answers, genuine ones. I'll not do the classic "I'll eat my hat", but would sincerely rejoice if she'd be found. Problem is that IMO there's no chance in the world with what I've been learning about this case for that to happen :-(

We want justice for Madeleine, for sure, but aren't we a little tired of the Mc's themselves? We surely don't want their publicity stunts for another 6 yrs do we?

I can imagine. I'm not going to make that for sure, even though my genes may be O.K., as my parents lived into their 90's ... Maman still going strong at 94 - bless!
And THAT, being honest and selfish [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.], is one of the reasons I would want this case SOLVED.

I agree, Admin. Why let them get away? IF our interpretation of all available information and evidence [which is vast] is correct, they have committed more than one crime. My only concern is the twins [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The closer they are to retirement, the less they have to lose IMO. To the contrary, they have the experience and they could, maybe just for once, go to the limit and "nail" the case. Call me stupid ...

I agree with all that. I just don't want DCI Redwood to conclude this very expensive review with a "Maddie is alive or sadly dead" bullshit. I want results. I want people in jail for the death of a 3 year old child.

Re: Scotland Yard Maddie McCann quiz bill soars to £4.5m
Whoever decided to spend millions on this review didn't do so because they believe Madeleine is more valuable than anyone else. Imo, everything that has been said and done, including this review, has been for the parents benefit not the missing child. For some reason it is the parents that are important. Madeleine hasn't been treated well at all and she's become nothing more than collateral damage in this story. All those supporting the parents (media, politicians, investigators etc) are still bowing to the parents and still prepared to turn a blind eye to their ever-changing statements, their lack of cooperation and even the numerous cadaver dog alerts to a dead body. These people don't want to know what happened to Madeleine. The parents are the priority to them and whatever befell the three-year-old child is secondary. That's what's really astounding about this case. The average couple, in the same circumstances, would never have been given such unquestioning support.Smokeandmirrors wrote:McTravesty.
