From the official police files, question 41 of the 48 questions not answered by Kate McCann, it is evident that the PJ had some evidence that it was her intention to hand over Madeleine to the guardianship of a family member.

41 --- Asked whether or not it is true that in England she was thinking to deliver MADELEINE into the custody [guardianship] of a family member, she did not respond.

This question has always intrigued me; for the police to ask such a specific question someone must have given them this information, and that has to have been someone very close to Kate and Gerry.

Exactly, but who? and Why?

Were there formal documents drawn up for her adoption? Who was she being handed over to?
