There's lots of information circulating about whether, or whether not, burglars were rampant in Praia da Luz at the time of Madeleine's alleged/reported 'disappearance', (regardless of whether burglars would have the remotest interest in snatching a child). Claims of 'burglars', and of a child 'crying' (presumed to have been Madeleine) appeared in the press just when the evidence of the EVRD dogs alerting to the scent of death and of blood in relation to the McCann's was surfacing. Mrs. Fenn's statement, first appearing in the press over 3 months after Madeleine's alleged 'abduction' is pivotal to understanding how and when these stories first appeared.
