Madeleine McCann fund will swell to £1million over on-going search
THE Madeleine McCann fund will swell to nearly £1million because of the ongoing police search.

Scotland Yard's £12m Operation Grange means Kate and Gerry McCann have not had to touch the reserves of Leaving No Stone Unturned Ltd.
Private eye firms were hired after Portuguese police archived the case as an unsolved mystery in 2008.
The current fund is around £823,000.
The figure was revealed in this year's newly published accounts Over the last two years Kate has ploughed in £168,192 from the sale of her book about the case.
And in the next year, the McCanns can expect to add at least the same as they did last year – around £100,000.
Meanwhile, taxpayers will continue to pay for the Met investigation.
The Police Federation and some former detectives have called for Operation Grange to be axed arguing the cash would be better spent tackling knife crime and terrorism.
But Met commissioner Cressida Dick has pledged it will go on until it "has reached its conclusion".
Commissioner Dick has said she was "quite happy it should continue until we find out what happened or we have exhausted all possible lines of inquiry".

The money should be taken and put into the public purse. The streets of Britain are not safe, all hell is breaking loose. Young people are dying because of lack of police officers on the beat and yet this money is still being ploughed into Operation Grange.
It is unbelievable and TPTB shove it in our faces time and time again.
Shocking state of affairs.

Not only the police , NHS , Mental Health , schools !
Still TPTB stick their fingers in their ears and go " la la la la la "
Have they paid the Court costs yet , or has that come from a ( cough ) " separate account " ?

Well of course she has no qualms, it doesnt come out of her police budget. And goodness knows how many other cases the team is spending the majority of their working hours on. They've not shied away from mentioning Wall's name when she's had results in other cases in recent years and she's the named SIO.
Re: Madeleine McCann fund will swell to £1million over on-going search
Well, Mark Saunokonoko got that wrong didn't he?
I said it was a bit odd he was able to quote a figure when it hadn't even been mentioned in the UK.
Still, in the words of Professor Gerald McCann .... 'one good thing about all this is there is so much coming out in the press, no one knows what's true and what isn't' - or words to that effect.
If nothing else it keeps the gossip columns alive and that's something the McCann team have always been very anxious to achieve.
