The Face-to-face of the McCann and Mr.Amaral, in Strasbourg

As expected, the IPSO Executive decided against both of my complains, against Daily Mail and The Sun, so I appealed to the Complains Committee. I will file other complains against all newspapers that published stories about a face-to-face meeting in Strasbourg, at the European Court of Human Rights, between the McCann and Mr. Amaral - something absolutely impossible, the complain is against the Portuguese State, the European Court of Human Rights only accepts complains against State members that signed the European Convention of Human Rights.

Can somebody help me find all stories published in the British Press that make a reference to the fact that the McCann will meet Mr. Amaral at the European Court of Human Rights, following the complain they filed at that court?

That if I might say is a bit of a mammoth task, not impossible but it might take some time.

But this was overturned on appeal and that decision upheld in another court this April, meaning Amaral is now able to sue the McCanns for damages potentially totalling tens of thousands of pounds.

To prevent this, Kate and Gerry, both 49, have lodged an appeal with the European Court of Human Rights. They now wait for the date of their Strasbourg showdown with Amaral to be confirmed ......

Family spokesman Clarence Mitchell told MailOnline: 'I can confirm that Kate and Gerry McCann’s Portuguese lawyers lodged an appeal application in the Amaral case with the European Court of Human Rights in July of this year......

Kate and Gerry McCann are in a legal battle with Amaral at the European Court of Human Rights over the smears.

The McCanns have gone to the ECHR in a final effort to avoid paying Amaral £750,000 in compensation after accusing him of libel - which saw sales of his book banned for six years.

A source close to them said: “If Goncalo Amaral continues to make these outrageous claims then he will find he has a tough fight on his hands.
“Kate and Gerry are not going to let him get away with what he said about them.”
