Am opening up this new thread to discuss the connections between the McCanns, the McCann Team, and:

* Jim Gamble
* Dr Joe Sullivan
* Mark Williams Thomas
* the Missing People charity and
* iNEQE, the creation I think of Jim Gamble after his resignation as Head of CEOP.

Cristobell on another thread has rightly drawn attention to this information about Dr Joe Sullivan, whom I understand is a 'psychologist':

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The strange career of Mark Williams-Thomas, his connections to the Madeleine McCann case and his rise to fame as the man who single-handedly exposed Jimmy Savile is another major area of interest. He claims to be a 'criminologist'.

We also had the case of Alan Pike, one of those who rushed out to Praia da Luz, and pretended to be a qualified psychologist - but was not.

Who exactly are these strange experts who surround the McCann case - and all rushed in the first few days to get involved?: Dr Joe Sullivan, Mark Williams-Thomas, Alan Pike - and also Ray Wyre, the self-proclaimed expert on sex offenders, who wrote a long article about paedophiles in the Daily Telegraph in relation to the Madeleine Mccann case on 10 May 2007, and later invited the McCanns over to spend the day with him?

'Missing People' seems to be closely connected with them all. It almost seems like they are all part of the same 'club'.

I will now bring here a post I made about iNEQE yesterday on another thread:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

REPLY (to Cristobell on another thread):

The long-term relationship between Jim Gamble and the McCanns is indeed fascinating. It began of course with Jim Gamble's urgent demand to anyone who was holidaying in Praia da Luz that week: 'Send me your holiday snaps!'

And what you say is a 'cosy' relationship between Gamble and the McCanns seems to continue to this day. Not least in Jim Gamble's new work with the company he has founded: iNEQE, called this, apparently, because it is both 'innovative' and 'unique' (Wow!). Gamble has organised two conferences, in September 2013 and March 2014, with the peculiar title: 'Glimpse CSA'. The CSA stands for 'Child Sexual Abuse', so the somewhat bizarre title of these two conferences reads: "Glimpse Child Sexual Abuse". I am sure they could have thought up a better, more appropriate and suitable title.

These conferences had 5 keynote speakers.

One was Gamble himself.

Another was Dr Joe Sullivan, whose conference biography boasted that he was: "...CEOP's former Principal Forensic Physiologist, one of the foremost global experts on offender character and behaviour, the principal developer of the Behavioural Analysis Unit and adviser on major police enquiries including the Madeleine McCann investigation...

A third of the 5 keynote speakers was Mark Williams-Thomas, the self-proclaimed expert on child sex offenders who has pontificated on the Madeleine McCann case many times. He famously said that the abductions of Madeleine McCann in 2007 and 8-year-old Portuguese girl Joana Cipriano in 2005 had 'remarkable parallels', apparently being unaware that when he made this idiotic remark, Joana's mother and uncle were already two years into 16-year jail terms for the brutal murder of Joana. Incidentally, in his 'Glimpse CSA' conference biography, he modestly described himself as ,quote: "TV presenter, criminologist, child protection expert and former detective; the man who unmasked Jimmy Savile as one the UK's worst predatory paedophiles".

It does seem remarkable that 3 out of 5 keynote speakers at a Child Sexual Abuse Conference should all have such a very close connection with the McCann case, especially since, after 7 years of investigations costing tens of millions, we have no idea whether Madeleine was a victim of child sexual abuse or not.

Amelie McCann (aged 2): "Maddie's jammies!".

Hmmm.

ALL middle aged men with a particular 'penchant' for the 'safety' of underaged girls!

Do they 'exchange' their 'horrific' photos/videos of 'abuse' between themselves?

It would certainly be a good 'cover' for a 'ring' wouldn't it?

'Research, ol' boy, research'

Mr Walsh said: "Within two minutes a madam came up to us and said, 'What are you looking for?' and Mr Gamble said: 'We're looking for young girls' ' She brought over three or four girls that were (about) 12 or 13 years old - very, very young."

Mr Gamble told her they wanted younger girls, Mr Walsh said. He said the woman replied: "What do you want? We have six and seven-year-old boys and girls. I can arrange that off premises."

Just the sort of questions you'd expect a middle aged male 'executive' (self appointed) of INEQE to be asking........................NOT!

'Research, ol' boy, research'
Mark Wiliams-Thomas openly admits to watching a lot of child sexual abuse online.

As you say, jeanmonroe, purely in the interests of 'research'.

However, he is not a police officer. In fact, he left Surrey Police under very controversial circumstances
 (see 'The Mark Williams-Thomas thread').

If he is not a police officer and not authorised by a named police force to view such images, he may be committing a criminal offence.

ETA:

Dr Joe Sullivan is Co-Director of Mentor Forensics, along with his co-partner Valerie Sheehan:   [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]   He does a lot of work for the courts on child sexual abuse cases.

But then so did Ray Wyre.

Valerie Sheehan is quoted in this article:

‘Unhelpful’ preconceptions on online child abuse
By Claire O’Sullivan

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Monday, October 28, 2013

We must stop thinking that those viewing online child pornography are a lower risk to children than a person convicted for sexually abusing a child, according to a leading child protection consultant.

As online child abuse is a recent phenomenon, there is a lack of academic research in the area and subsequently, a number of "unhelpful" preconceptions have taken root, said Valerie Sheehan, a director of Mentor Forensic Services.

However, she says "the more we research in this area, the more we understand that the nature of harm that these offenders can pose can be very broad".

A study in the US showed that amongst internet offenders undergoing treatment, 85% admitted to having sexually abused minors. Lie detector tests backed up their assertions.

"You must remember that the average age that a child is first aroused by another child is 13.5 years and so when dealing with online offenders, we need to ask them about their past as well as their future," Ms Sheehan told a child protection and social work conference in Cork.

"It is vitally important that a thorough assessment is carried out on those who are caught with abusive online images. This must be done so that proper safeguarding can take place."

She said children who sexually abuse before the age of nine are not doing it for sex but more often because of violent, sexually violent, and neglectful childhoods.

Fiachra Ó Súilleabháin, a principal social worker in Cork, told the conferences focus groups have been held where teenage girls have admitted to researchers that they are having sexual encounters with older men they meet online and gay teenagers are also meeting older gay men.

Dr Ó Súilleabháin warned that research does show that young people with "a greater sense of self" are less likely to take part in risky sexual behaviour.

Meanwhile, a psychologist said children as young as 10 are sexting and that it is widespread in secondary schools. Director of Internet Safety for Schools Ireland, Maureen Griffin, said parents need to talk to their children about sexting — sending explicit texts and pictures by phone.

One in four second-level students who responded to questionnaires admitted they had sent sexts, said Dr Griffin.

I think it is suspicious that not only do the McCanns' suggest paedophilia as a motive for Madeleine's 'disappearance, they also suggest that Madeleine and the twins may have been drugged. Kate gives much weight to both these. So I think that these provide important clues as to what may have happened to Madeleine.

Interestingly, despite Kate claiming that she noticed a strange stain on Madeleine's pyjama top on the morning she disappeared (to effectively lend weight to a suggestion that the 'abductor' may have entered the apartment the night before and drugged her but fled empty-handed) the McCanns wait THREE months to have hair analysis done on. By which time it is likely to be a waste of time.

This child sex abuser was caught when the parents - who had trusted him with their children due to his status as a police doctor - became suspicious as their child was so sleepy and hair analysis tests revealed they had been drugged with sedatives and then sexually abused.

So very true Jean Munroe. I do wonder what kind of "research" Mark Williams Thomas and other unqualified "researchers" of child pornography achieve, and what benefit it affords abused children. Do they hand their information thus gleaned to the relevant authorities? Do they download and keep the images on their computers? Lastly do they get psycological counciling to help them deal with what must be a traumatic experience, or do they not find it so? A very grey area here.
Imo. It could make for an excellent cover, a paedophiles Dream Job. I can't help but see a picture of a red shiny apple with corrupting worms inside.

It's shocking that the Gasper statements were withheld for so long. There are a great many red flags in this case that point in a very unpleasant direction. Yvonne Martin was suspicious of DP and the Mcs. When I look at footage of GC in various videos, I find his behaviour, body language and the words he uses strange.

Watching child porn 'need not mean prison'

By John Steele, Crime Correspondent

A police chief who heads the leading child protection agency provoked a fierce row yesterday after suggesting that paedophiles convicted of viewing child pornography should not necessarily go to prison.
Jim Gamble, the chief executive of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP), believes some sex offenders should be encouraged to seek treatment rather than serve jail terms.
He said police and other agencies needed to "engage with the predators".
Mr Gamble, who took the job last year after 25 years as a regular police officer, told the BBC: "We shouldn't be sending everyone that ever commits an offence - particularly of the viewing kind - to prison."
Some offenders could be "managed" and dealt with by a police caution in a way that allowed them to maintain their lives and their families.
It was time to adopt a more "intelligent posture" in tackling the problem. People with a "deviant sexual interest in children" should get help before they "live out that fantasy".
He also suggested paedophile-related offending was taking place on a scale much greater and was more worrying than the picture disclosed in Operation Ore.
This is the police inquiry into up to 7,000 Britons who used credit cards to see violent abuse of children on a US website.
Mr Gamble said that in the past year there had been a 1,000 per cent increase in reports to CEOP of suspected paedophile activity.
In court, many of the men convicted of downloading images in Operation Ore cases have escaped prison - usually if they were shown to have had few, "less severe" images, not to have distributed them and not to have been a frequent user of the site.
Mr Gamble said each case had to be judged by its own criteria, with assessment of any offending history and the risk the man may pose.
He stressed that he was not suggesting non-custodial sentences for sex offenders who raped children or "produced" images to place online. But he said there might be people "at the beginning of the spiral of abuse who are going online because they do have a sexual desire for children. These people may benefit from a police caution and management" in the community.
Michele Elliott, the director of the children's charity, Kidscape, said: "I agree with him that these people need treatment. However, to treat them in the community sends a message that what they have done is not very serious.
"If you download child pornography, you are as guilty as those taking the photographs. A child is abused for your pleasure. That means prison.
"Jim Gamble is effectively saying 'we've caught people doing something that's abhorrent, but we've got too many to deal with', but that's crazy."
Donald Findlater, of the child protection charity the Lucy Faithfull Foundation, said: "I agree that we must not diminish the gravity of child pornography; we mustn't assume that it's OK to look.
"But Jim Gamble is right that the scale of the problem is such that we simply cannot leave it to police, courts and prisons to deal with it."

“we offer specialist advice focusing on the protection of people....and reputation...above all, Ineqe seeks to advance reputational protection through a measured series of steps to identify, reduce and manage your risk profile”

I really hope I’m wrong but IMO this sounds like a whitewash brigade touting for business

Sorry - don't know why this type is so small

Blimey - I`d forgotten about that.

Makes one wonder if anyone went for `treatment` in PdL.

I'd chuck Cheops in there, too.

Angela has rather an unfortunate surname laughat  on the other hand it might be a hint...

Yes, the charities,  this curious establisment and other reputation management enterprises such as those who were in place one day after 3/5 seem to prosper these days -  now why would reputation management help to find an abducted child?  Unless a good reputation would help to find her.
Somehow I don't feel it would - qui bono always applies.

hi Doug, your link doesn't work for me.  NL connected to Jim Gamble? Btw  Impressive picture of our Jim between the US and GB flags.

Reassuring for the public and parents to know that stringent checks are made on medical professionals working for the police force to help protect our most vulnerable members of society:

(Snipped from article linked).

The attacks took place after Wells befriended the girls' families. At the time of the offences he was working for an agency providing on-call forensic medical examiners for Hampshire police force. He was able to carry out his work, examining victims of crime, despite having faced earlier charges of sexual assaults on girls.

How ANGRY those duped parents must be to even begin to start to understand what this repulsive specimen was really doing. Not to mention the children who he violated.

Not sure where to post this so Mods please move if not in right topic.

With all that's going on today with the Twitter stuff, I came across a retweet from Jim Gamble - an ITV News update.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

This was 1st October 2014 and shows the case of a little girl with blonde hair, around the age of Madeleine when she disappeared, who has been found in Mexico after 12 years. This little girl was kidnapped by a non-custodial parent. There is no similarity to the disappearance of Madeleine other than the age at the time of disappearance and blonde hair - yet ITV run the story and Gamble chooses to retweet it. This case does not concern UK or Europe. Here is the article - dated 1st October 2014. It's interesting that ITV and Gamble place such importance on what is in essence a story of little UK interest at a time when there's a media extravaganza/book launch/Twitter trolls/haters/onslaught etc.

A missing Texas girl who was kidnapped 12 years ago has been found with her mother in Mexico.
The FBI said 17-year-old Sabrina Allen was found in Mexico City last night. She was reported missing by her father in 2002, after the then-four-year-old vanished following a weekend visit with her mother.
Mother Dara Llorens, who was divorced from Sabrina's father at the time, had visitation rights but did not have custody of the girl and it is alleged she fled with the child.
Llorens now faces aggravated kidnapping charges in the US.
The teenager and her mother, Dara Llorens, were flown back to Texas early today.
Gregory Allen said during a news conference with Austin police that he is looking forward to giving his daughter a hug. Authorities did not reveal the teenager's current whereabouts.

When this news broke, i fully expected the mccanns or their supporters to claim this was evidence that Maddie could still be alive and returned to her parents.

What, of course, would be ommitted would be the fact this was a parental abduction and not an abduction by stranger.
