It appears that way, doesn't it; and with selective reporting.
I was recommended a book via Amazon this morning, who knew?
The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann, now why would this book be allowed and not GA's, or even Pat Browns?

Why doesn't Private Eye print a story about the evidence of the case? - Is that because Private Eye is not so much a Private Eye, but a Private "blind - eye" and is a controlled opposition rag?
Ian Hislop has been used for other cover ups. He did a hit piece for the BBC Website about Geoffrey of Monmouth, trying to discredit the claim that King Arthur was a Welsh King. Something the establishment has worked very hard to keep quiet.
How can they dare carry that name, what "Private Eye" work have they published into the facts about Madeleine?
The article is a classic "phony bone of contention", creating controversy over an issue which distracts from the real issues, which are "How did Madeleine die?", and "Why was the death covered up?"

Ian Hislop according to Wikipedia, is the "most sued man in Britain" which is highly unlikely to the point of being completely untrue. (That denial is according to Hislop by the way, so it must be true).
Hislop is a figure of the establishment who pokes fun at the establishment, and it's lapped up by some as being anti establishment.
He's an Oxford graduate who works for the BBC, he knows how far a boat can be rocked, all in the name of satire. So don't expect Hislop to stray too far from bog standard mainstream.

Didn't Hislop and his cronies get a bit cosy with Carter Ruck at some stage, leading to a withdrawal of their satirical take on the libel lawyers corporate name - Carter *uck?Richard D. Not too sure about Ian Hislop - he seems to be all things to man woman and beast. A hired propagandist maybe?
