All figures shown are funds received according to the website and does not include the fund balances..that started to be shown as an alternative..(that will be another project!)

I suspect that psychologically showing the 'fund balance' appears to most to keep them accountable but that does not reflect the income and expenses (which is the reason behind this thread)

Individual amounts are never likely to be known but I thought it would be interesting to add together some of the amounts they MAY have received and the expense amounts they MAY have paid out.

Amounts shown in RED are speculation

I would appreciate some help and opinions on what some of these expenses and incomes MAY be and I will add a conservative estimate...IN RED.

I really feel that there is a lot more going in and out of the fund than meets the eye and the public is being 'fed' amounts that serve the McCanns agenda..

I will update the original post whenever possible...

The FUND - The First Year Compilation. Empty Not forgetting the pensions & pocket money that reached the McCanns

Post by Tony Bennett 09.01.16 7:44

Good work @ Lizzy

And then, influenced by powerfully emotive headlines, there were the many British pensioners who generously sent the McCanns their weekly pension, and children who sent their weekly pocket money to them - one wonders how all of them would now feel if they were told that over half a million quid of their money was put into the hands of convicted fraudster Kevin Halligen so that he could whisk his latest floozey Shirin Trachiotis around the 5-star hotels of the U.S., Britain and Italy?

I wonder why Carter Ruck and partners never sought out to recover the funds associated to Kevin Haligen, obviously defrauding the McCann family in the claim to have been "investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann"whilst pilfering over £500,000 from the fund?
A case of "Don't look over here,Look elsewhere"?

[size=36]Madeleine appeal fund set up by Irish friend[/size]

PUBLISHED20/05/2007 | 00:00

RONALD QUINLAN

AS the search for abducted four-year-old Madeleine McCann enters its third week, a dedicated bank account has finally been set up here in Ireland to allow people to assist through donations.

Funds raised through the Madeleine McCann Appeal account at the AIB bank are to be used to help fund the ongoing search for Madeline, and to help defray the costs of legal representation for her distraught parents.

The establishment of the account has been undertaken by Donegal-based Katerina Fernandez, a close friend of the missing girl's family.

Madeleine and her parents stayed with Ms Fernandez on a recent holiday in Donegal. Ms Fernandez fondly recalled the Easter visit.

"It's very hard to take it all in. It's bad enough when it's a child you don't know. But she was here with her family. It was only a weekend, but I can still see everybody down at the beach playing rounders. I can still picture Madeleine there. It's devastating," she said.

Ms Fernandez set up the fundraising account at the AIB to maintain awareness of Madeleine's case in Ireland.

Sorry to keep on about all things Madeleine, dears, I know it is boring some people to tears by now, but today I am wondering about 'Madeleine's Fund' and the 'Fighting Fund'. It seems to have been generally assumed that these are one and the same, and was widely promoted as such by the extended family of missing Madeleine McCann, yet the object of the fund does not appear to be the same to all those who have contributed to it, at least not according to a report in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

"Jewish community members have also helped contribute to the legal case. TopShop tycoon Sir Philip Green has donated to a ?SPAN>fighting fund?set up by the McCann’s lawyers yesterday to help pay their legal bills.

A spokesman for the Chief Rabbi’s Office said: “We share the concerns of the country over the fate and welfare of Madeleine McCann and pray for her safe return.?BR>
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], Totally Jewish, Thursday 17th May, 2007

So, what, is this 'Fighting Fund' for 'the legal case' - does it exist apart from
'Madeleine's Fund' or is it a misunderstanding? What at that time (May 17th) was the legal case?

I am wondering if this was an earlier attempt than that currently being proposed by the McCanns to create an additional fund for legal fees, and if this was abandoned when it became apparent that too many people were busily donating and collecting for the 'Fighting Fund' (see image) 'for the legal case' whilst labouring under the impression that the money was going to 'Madeleine's Fund: Leaving no Stone Unturned' - the stated objectives of which were entirely different, namely to help in the search for the missing child and to cover the general living expenses of the family. Was this money, along with the donation made by Philip Green 'for the legal case' put into a different fund, then, or has it all been assumed into 'Madeleine's Fund'? Interesting, it does beg the question if perhaps the use of two names for one fund was ever intended to confuse, with different people being led to believe different things of the one fund, with the possible object of enabling its use to be widened to include the cost of legal fees in a criminal case, if ever it became necessary. Why, otherwise, hasTotally Jewish been given, and presented, a different understanding of what the fund - if it's the same fund - was intended for?

'Fighting Fund' is a term more usually associated with causes - set up with the object of raising funds for someone or some organisation engaged in a protracted legal battle. When I first heard it used in connection with Madeleine it caused me to wonder why they were using that term and who they intended to sue. Perhaps Mark Warner, for 'allowing' them to lose their child? Failing that, it seemed a bit incongruous, as no-one was obstructing their 'search' for Madeleine, and no-one was being fought...all anyone knew for sure was that they had lost their child.

Gerry McCann: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

"It seems like a disaster that we've got this huge donated fund and now we're not allowed to use it for legal costs because we're under suspicion," said Gerry.

From that it could be assumed that they had been able to use it for certain types of legal fees up till then, and we know lawyers had been engaged since May; their fees would most likely have been paid from 'Madeleine's Fund', which would not be unreasonable, lawyers being necessary to certain types of financial endeavour, the McCanns unversed in running campaigns. That engagement could hardly be classed as 'the legal case' though, could it? So what legal case was being anticipated by Kate and Gerry McCann, and their lawyers, even before the 17th May? Were they going to attempt to sue Mark Warner (ludicrous, as Team McCann would say) - or were they expecting to maybe have to stand trial in relation to Madeleine's disappearance? It's difficult to imagine that Philip Green would be giving financial support in anticipation of that - so what was the idea of this 'Fighting Fund'? To me it reads as if the original intention may have been for there to have been two funds, yet appearing as one - with money coming in earmarked either for 'The Fighting Fund' for legal fees or for the 'Find Madeleine Fund' for general expenses, and with most people being unaware that they were different funds. Or do I totally misread?

Post by Google.Gaspar.Statements 09.01.16 9:01

What a mind-blowing amount of money that has been raised/donated/spent/wasted in the name of a dead child to keep this fake abduction hoax alive for nearly 9 years.

It is truly sickening.

No wonder people are still here - I'm sure we all want to see the day the McCann's are caught and sent down for the Scam of the Century.

We should not of course forget that Margarte Thatcher's PR chum Lord Bell...

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

...also got paid £500,000 for not finding Madeleine:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

It got them the front-page publicity they craved.

But they didn't find Madeleine:

Goncalo Amaral got sued - and

Bennett's '60 Reasons' was banned.

But Halligen did well -

And so did Lord Bell...

...Both pocketed five hundred grand !
