KATE'S DIARY -
If, as the police files claim, Madeleine died in the apartment, then Kate would have written the diary under false pretenses and then received payment for LIES! She would have known every word to her daughter was because she was DEAD not because she had been abducted.
Is that why it was HUSH money they received?
Revealed at Leveson Inquiry- The McCanns received £125,000 HUSH money from News of the World for publishing the diary- " all parties were obliged to sign agreements that they would not talk about the size of the compensation."
The Guardian was quick to change headlines but not before a screenshot!

New Zealand Herald - Dec 19, 2011 wrote:Paper paid McCanns in secret apology
The News of the World paid £125,000 ($255,000) to the fund supporting the search for Madeleine McCann as part of an apology for publishingKate McCann's diaries - on condition that the terms of the deal remained secret.
The payment was made after the missing girl's parents expressed their outrage at the story, which Kate McCann said made her feel "mentally raped". All the parties involved in the negotiations over the payment, which was agreed in September 2008, were asked to sign a confidentiality agreement hiding the scale of the newspaper's culpability.
The payment was made despite claims by the defunct newspaper's editor at the Leveson inquiry last week that he believed he had had the full support of the McCanns to publish.
Colin Myler, who edited the NOTW from 2007 until it closed this year, told the inquiry he had received repeated assurances from his head of news, Ian Edmondson, that the McCanns' spokesman, Clarence Mitchell, supported publication - a claim which has been strenuously denied.
Myler told the inquiry that he subsequently ran an apology and paid a "substantial sum" because "he felt very bad that she didn't know".
However, the NOTW initially tried to minimise the compensation. A source at News International, the owner of the newspaper, said there were hours of negotiations between the company's lawyers and Carter-Ruck, the solicitors hired by the McCanns, in the days following publication of the story on September 15, 2008.
A deal was finally struck in which a £125,000 payment was agreed, but all parties were obliged to sign agreements that they would not talk about the size of the compensation. Yesterday Kate and Gerry McCann's spokesman and News International declined to comment.

Kate's 'diary' exposed
Scrutiny...Kate McCann

KATE McCann's diary has allegedly been leaked to the Portuguese press in a potentially explosive development in the case of missing Madeleine McCann.
Kate's diary was reported to have been handed in to police this afternoon.
And Portuguese newspapers have printed what they claim are extracts.
Kate is alleged to have complained about her missing daughter in the diary and the lack of help given by Gerry at home.
The Portuguese tabloid Correio da Manha's front page story today proclaimed: "Kate insults her children in her diary."
And it went on to claim on an inside page: "She complains frequently that her children are 'hysterical' and speaks of Madeleine as a child whose excess activity exhausts her.
"She tells also how Gerry doesn't help her with the family chores and that she has to cope alone with her two youngest children."
Police are said to have made photocopies which public prosecutors have already handed over to an investigating judge.
The news comes after Kate and Gerry met social services representatives at their home to discuss their case.
It is standard procedure for a mother or father named as a suspect overseas to have their case considered by the authorities in their home county on child protection grounds.
