AN internet troll who sparked revulsion when he mocked the death of tragic Scots toddler Mikaeel Kular is facing jail.
Jamie Milligan , 25, also made comments about Madeleine McCann and threatened to rape a friend of his during the vile online outbursts.
Mikaeel, three, passed away in January last year after being beaten and his body hidden in a suitcase by his mother, Rosdeep Adekoya, who is serving an 11 year sentence.
Milligan made vile comments about little Mikaeel in sickening Facebook rants while a mass hunt for him was still being carried out in Edinburgh.
On January 17, 2014, Milligan, of Paisley , took to Facebook where he made the sickening statements.
Milligan later said he was only joking with his comments, before adding: "Leave me alone."
Several complaints were made to Police Scotland and, on January 21 last year, Milligan was arrested and charged.
When interviewed by police about his comments he broke down in tears and "sobbed uncontrollably".
He told officers: "I'm not the type of person that would rape someone. I know it's wrong.
"I'm not on Facebook any more, I've shut it down."

When he appeared in the dock at Paisley Sheriff Court last week he admitted two charges of behaving in a threatening or abusive way by posting offensive comments on Facebook.
The first charge related to racist remarks he made about the death of Mikaeel Kular, while the second charge was for threatening to rape the woman who told him his comments were disgusting.
Milligan, who suffers from Asperger's syndrome, was supported in court by an appropriate adult to make sure he understood the legal process.
Sheriff Tom McCartney called for Milligan to be assessed by social workers ahead of sentencing and adjourned the case until next month.
