That one, was indeed a truly sickening display of their attitude re. parenting and care towards infants.

I do not understand why the general public (and newspapers) did not react to that quote.

It felt as if time stood still for a moment when the Pope looked into our faces and there was almost instant recognition and a change in his expression. He said he would pray for us, our family and Madeleine.

That, to me highlight even more that they are very hard people - tough cookies in fact.

People in that sort of devastation do not feel ashamed to let their emotion overtakes them in public. What is wrong with breaking down in tears in public, especially if they people cannot help their emotions.

But, no, not the mccanns they are too controlled for that. Needing to tell people they cry in private suggests what?

Can we deduce from this that Kate and Gerry's love life was not all that hot prior to PdL, Kate had afterall attended six cadavers in recent weeks, and Gerry made it clear he was not going to PdL "to f**king enjoy" himself...or Kate it may seem!
