Police officers trying to discover what happened to Madeleine McCann have strengthened a lead thanks to a new report by a British holidaymaker.
The woman, who does not want to be named, told how she and her daughter were approached by a man near to where Madeleine vanished in the weeks before the little girl's disappearance in 2007.
The woman's description of the stranger matches that given by two other witnesses in the holiday resort of Praia da Luz.
All three witnesses said they had been "disturbed" by the encounter.

Wow she saw a strange person. Like that doesn't happen every single day! I guess there are no dead Nigerian Heroin Addicts to blame today. Why doesn't Scotland Yard investigate the McCann's hour by hour and why haven't they been imprisoned for child neglect and have their kids taken away? Its even more embarrassing considering it was reported in 2008 and NOTHING has changed. They are just bringing it forward because tractorman sadly has now gone cold, the media cant make any more money out of him.

I have never visited mumsnet but going to have a squiz Margaret. If the tide has turned the truth will have to come out under the current circumstances. More and more people are going to start demanding answers. What are the results of Scotland Yards expensive review? What really happened to Madeleine? Who is facilitating the rubbish being printed in the media. Could it be that an avalanche that cannot be stopped? People become very angry when they realise they have been conned.

The headline of this article reads:
"Madeleine McCann Hunt: Witness Disturbed by Encounter with Praia da Luz Suspect."

Surely, it would have made more sense if they'd ended the headline after 'Disturbed'................

"The anonymous mother said: "I knew there was something wrong with him. I just wanted to get away from him. I felt he was trying to usher us down a cobbled street."

Surely better than up a blind alley.............

That's what l think snifferdog, this won't go away now, more and more people smell something iffy about this case. The Internet is making things much more difficult to cover up, all the things the Mccanns have said, the interviews the case files are online for a very long time with people becoming informed everyday.
