So, if I read the translation correctly, the British Press/Media ambushed that poor man, Hewlett, in a German Hospital where he received chemotherapy treatments in order to question him about 1975 UK's case. Nothing to do with Madeleine's case then? So where is the co-relation?

The timing is very odd to say the least. Can't tell me with him being on the "wanted listed" for so long, Interpol couldn't locate him before then (Germany). He wasn't exactly in hiding when his previous abode was known to journalists.

Who co-relate Hewlett to Mccanns' case?
Did the Mccanns' PIs jumped onto the bandwagon and claimed he was questioned in relation to Maddie?
Or, did the Press' obfuscation cause that confusion of impression?

The pertinent questions may be:
Why is team mccanns rehashing the story?
Why does the Press continue to print misinformation?
More importantly, why did the Press toe Mccanns' line?

That to me is the interesting question. This story was comprehensively dismissed over three years ago, and so far as I can see there is nothing new being "revealed" which might justify the new interest. No new facts, nothing.
In fact we are being told LESS then the first time round. They are not discussing the mysterious burning letter and the alleged son, and the secretive delivery, or any of the really fun fantasy stuff.

So the question then is - Why now ?

What is going on behind the scenes ? It can't just be Leveson. CM would not put this out without having a good reason.

The 'long' videos are the reference to all the info on different topics.

I extract the McMinute videos for the short versions of topics.

Always open to suggestions for McMinutes from 'old' videos (currently have 156!)

I just checked my saved video for upload and the sync for the 'clown' pics was correct. Sadly, Youtube uploaded incorrectly. Never mind...lol

I agree. A lot of people aren't versed in the McCann-tales. Seeing one obvious distortion, inconsistency, spin, you name it, at the time will be taken in much more easy than a well edited half-hour with which they might lose their interest and switch to the next whatever ...

I agree but both long and short serve individual purposes. I also try to get the info into the first couple mins of longer vids, knowing the rest may not be viewed.

However....

I decided to do a little checking into the Analytics and was quite surprised with the results!

I checked 'Audience Retention' on a few random videos and regardless of the length there seems to be about a 25% retention right through to the end! On a video with 39,000 views 12 mins thats pretty impressive imo.

Of course the retention is closer to 60% or more on McMinutes but thats, maybe,to be expected for a 2 min video.

I'm a 'happy camper' [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] thinking of all those people learning about the dogs etc!
AND...lol...I was suprised to see a Google search of 'hideho4' (my youtube account) brings up 38,900 results.[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Can I get these stats somewhere? Part of my previous occupations has been statistics and I'd love to make some differentiated "pictures" yes

But even on these simple on-line graphs it's obvious that your audience's attention is easily and balanced kept till the end [before end titles] for the very short ones. Those McMinutes prepare them subsequently to take the time and go deeper into the longer and more detailed and varied ones.
To avoid misunderstanding: I have no way meant to implicate that you should restrict yourself to the short ones.

I think its only hideho4 that can access the stats. Not sure though, I'll check.

There are LOTS of different stats to check. It's really quite interesting, but for 155 videos its a little time consuming to go over all of them.

Lots on demographics etc also.

As far as the length of the videos go..there is no way I will change what I am doing and though I do listen to advice, its important in the creation of each video to add as much info as possible and then edit it down to about 10 mins. Once thats done then its relatively simple to create the McMinutes.

Someone suggested I change the 'music' accompaniment. I can't...lol. I HAVE to enjoy what I do and the music is as important to me as the content. Especially when I finally get the 'right' one..lol. No music...no video [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I am just so overwhelmingly happy that my vids are being viewed and the 'message' is getting out there AND I have something to do in my spare time. (Thats when I'm not watching Corrie or Come dine with me and Supernanny!)[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I'll see what I can do to get you the stats. I would be very interested in any that can be compared.

Meanwhile...I think I'll have a Supernanny night!
