Vive la France! Well done M.Dreyfus. It is so sad that the country of my birth, Great Britain seems to have been hijacked by the corrupt and the evil. Clearly the reach of this sad saga and its central cast has not crossed the Manche. Perhaps someone in this country will find a way to follow this author's lead.

I bought the book ages ago and am reading it (rather slowly as I have to look up quite a few words) but I can tell it is very well written and very entertaining to those of us who have been following the case. Maybe now it has won this prestigious prize it will be translated into English, and that will take the pressure off my brain. If that happens it should cause a few flurries at Carter Ruck - they seem to have ignored it up to now.

So long as Madeleine and mccanns names are not mentioned as characters the mccanns would be stupid to CR it.
