THE SOLICITORS AND THE FAMILY LAW GROUP Empty THE SOLICITORS AND THE FAMILY LAW GROUP

Post by Super Sleuth 21.07.11 21:54

Hi

Have been doing some digging myself.

1. BWB the solicitors was incorporated on 24/01/07 3 months before Madeleine went missing.
2. The International Family Law Group didnt get incorporated until 15/03/11 so they never existed, so why did they request cheques to be sent c/o them in 2007. What happened to that money.
3. Why do they request payments to the donation page to be made out to Madeleine Fund Leaving No Stone Unturned, when the company is called Madeleine Fund Leaving No Stone Unturned Limited, are their 2 bank accounts. 1 they account for and one they dont.

Fraud comes to mind.

THE SOLICITORS AND THE FAMILY LAW GROUP Empty Re: THE SOLICITORS AND THE FAMILY LAW GROUP

According to Bates wells Braithwaite website they were set up in 1970.

Which seems reasonable given the size of the firm and the no of areas of expertise they obviously have.

Interestingly the website refers to some pro bono work for charities/good causes. Dod they classify the McCanns as a good cause?

Further to my last post responding to super sleuth - he/she refers to the incorporation of BWB and the IFLG - it seems to me that they existed as partnerships for some years then decided to incorporate their exisiting business as a limited company which they are allowed to do - this does not mean they did not exist before incorporation!

THE SOLICITORS AND THE FAMILY LAW GROUP Empty Company information

Post by Guest 21.07.11 23:24

I used to work in a business rate department and I remember that in recent years a lot of longstanding partnerships such as solicitors and accountants took to reregistering themselves as limited liability partnerships. This means that, as with limited companies, the individual partners can no longer be sued on a personal basis by disgruntled clients. So in other words you can't tell just by the date when the LLP was set up if the business had existed previously in a slightly different name.
