Police investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann are still trying to find 13 suspects who could hold key information.
All the suspects were spotted acting suspiciously around the Praia da Luz resort, in Portugal's Algarve region, where Kate and Gerry McCann were staying when their daughter went missing in 2007.
Portuguese officers were recently handed extra cash to probe a new suspect, a foreign paedophile Martin Ney, who was allegedly in the area when Maddie vanished.
He has denied being invovled.
But these suspects described below are still out there...
1 and 2. Two Portuguese men posing as charity collectors were seen in Praia da Luz around the time Madeleine McCann was abducted.
Bogus collectors targeted properties in the area on at least four occasions on the day the three-year-old was abducted, Scotland Yard has said.
One man, aged 40 to 45, knocked on the door of the apartment where the McCanns were to stay on April 25 or 26 between 2.30pm and 3pm, saying that he was a charity collector.
The other, aged 25 to 30, approached a property on the Rua do Ramalhete, near the Ocean Club, at around 4pm on May 3, hours before Madeleine McCann disappeared.
3. Grandmother Gail Cooper spotted a "disturbing and dirty" man lurking near the Portuguese apartment days before Maddie vanished.
An artist's impression of the new suspect in the case of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. The description has come from British woman Gail Cooper, who was staying with her family close to the McCann's apartment in Portugal.
The man carried out the attacks between 2004 and 2006. He preyed on holiday homes where Brits were staying – including two in Praia da Luz.
The attacks were discounted by investigators because they were no abductions.
Witnesses describe the man as having dark, tanned skin with short dark unkempt hair.
He spoke in English with a foreign accent. Scotland Yard detectives have not been able to identify the person responsible.
The Irish couple told police he was heading towards the beach, did not look like a tourist and did not seem comfortable.
Martin later said that, after seeing TV footage of Gerry, he was “60-80% certain” he was the man he saw in Praia da Luz.
In October 2013 two e-fits were released to coincide with a BBC Crimewatch show. His identity has never been revealed.
A British woman said she saw the man, with pitted skin and a large nose, twice in the days before Madeleine's disappearance and told police he was "very ugly", about 5ft 10ins tall, slim and was wearing casual clothes, probably jeans.
The man was described by the two witnesses as being inside the Ocean Club complex in Praia da Luz area on the evening that Madeleine went missing from the apartment.
She woke up and asked “Is that you Daddy?”.
He replied “Yes” in a foreign accent.
According to detectives the man carried out nearly 30 attacks within a 40-mile radius of the holiday apartment where Maddie was staying.
His appearance remains a mystery.

I won't clutter the page with enormous e-fits from yesteryear as featured in the Mirror, suffice to say they are the usual suspects - give or take..
Apart from another Netflix plug, what is interesting to note here is how Jane Tanner's 'tannerman' has now morphed into Martin Smith's 'smithman' and Martin Smith's 'mccannman' has now morphed into 'oceanclubman'.

Re: The Mirror: Madeleine McCann - The 13 suspects still on the loose who could solve the case
However many suspects are put forward . .
They still have to get IN and then OUT
and until someone can explain when and how that happened, everything else is just p*88ing in the wind.
Just ONE convincing piece of evidence would be enough.
Surely after 12 years someone in the vast group of supporters, accolytes, stooges and apologists can think of SOMETHING
And THEN the search can start !

Was there a chimney?
Maybe this is where JK Rowling comes in. Does PDL have a Diagon Alley or platform 9 3/4 ?

Bernad Hogan-Howe in 2016: We are on final lead in Madeleine McCann case.
"A final lead" three years ago... has become "13 suspects" in the media.
I don't know who I believe. :dunce:

"13 suspects" remains after 12 years.
It must've been a h*ll lot of a movements around Ocean Club in the low season and the cold night in the beginning of May 2007, and the woman in purple directed the traffic.
