It is my opinion and it's only an opinion that Kate and Gerry Mccann cost very little to promote this charity. There were donations pouring into the Find Madeleine Fund which unsuspecting people didn't realize was a limited liability company.

So take a step back and take a look at who benefitted from these enterprises. It was most certainly not Madeleine Mccann. It was most certainly not missing people in UK because the Missing People charity has never once declared a success.

There is a bigger piece on this, somewhere in the forum but in 2006 Missing People charity were in financial difficulty.  There is a quote somewhere that states, we need a boost, a new beginning.   There was a complete change of directors, trustees etc.  and of course, the boost was Madeleine.

Also in 2006, we had Blair being questioned under the cash for honours case and Murdochs' NOTW failing fast due to the internet.

Gerry is pictured working alongside child abduction fraudster Ernie Allen of NCMEC whilst visiting the Whitehouse.  John McCann assisted Missing People in some event at Marble Arch and Kate, according to Gerry, didn't have a title yet.  Soon the prime suspect in a missing child case became ambassador for Missing people charity.

If that's not a case of "all in it together", what is?

Why not call themselves The Gatekeepers.

They have probably applied for the 3 month extension that came in with covid. The accounts will probably be late, even after that. Besides, If it is claimed that Madeleine is dead and the Germans have a suspect, why is the fund still open? What is its purpose?

They seem to be delaying publication of the accounts as long as possible. Don't they want us to see them?

As long as people still donate to the fund, the McCann's will keep it open.

I very much doubt money is still going in the fund.

Kate McCann's autobiographic chiclit past it's sell by date many moons again, as for donations there is a limit to how much even the most devoted supporters (all one or two of them) will give to a lost cause.

The fund will remain in situ until such times as the case is finally wrapped-up in pretty paper and ribbon bows. Then and only then can some audacious brave-heart start to delve but as it's a limited company and not a registered charity, chances of catching them out on a technicality is but a pipe dream.

To close the fund would be an admission of guilt, that's to say they are not continuing the search for Madeleine for the simple reason there was never a search to continue.

Whoever is advising them has got this well sewn-up.

But I'm sure they are living in hell for their past dastardly deeds.

how long this could go? After McCann’s would the twins take over to (fake) search for their sister?

I doubt that there is anything going out of the fund, what would they be paying for?

Don't forget that most of the cash is now tied up in investments, so there will probably be some cash coming in.

Will they still be paying the secretary and the auditors, and what about tax?

If they have money in the bank, will they be paying bank charges?

Corporation tax, only if they make a profit.

Bank charges, shouldn't be too much of there is little movement on the account.

Why are the paying for an audit when it's not required?

Why are they paying accountancy fees? Surely there is someone in their group who can file the accounts? Aren't there accountants amongst them?

And why are they using BWB Secretarial Limited?

The parents of Madeleine McCann did not pen a Christmas message to their missing daughter this year for the first time since she disappeared.

Kate and Gerry McCann have since May 2007 spoken of their belief their daughter will be found every festive season in heartwarming messages on their Find Madeleine website.

However the last update was from September in a post regarding the European Court of Humans Rights.

In 2021 however they thanked their supporters who sent them Christmas cards and support, The Sun reported.

The message from a year ago read: “It feels a little bit like Groundhog day with Covid and its requirement for social distancing and face masks.

“It’s a little similar in some ways with the investigation to find Madeleine…work and progress continue but with no significant news to share at this stage.

“Despite this, we couldn’t let the opportunity pass to say a very big thank you once again to all our supporters.

“This is our fifteenth Christmas without Madeleine and yet we still receive so many kind words of encouragement and support, not to mention the Christmas cards.

“Amazing and humbling, thank you so much.”

Although there was not a festive message this year, the parents did mark the anniversary in May of the then three-year-old Maddie disappearance.

They again thanked their supporters.

It comes amid reports suggesting German police could be about to charge a suspect over Maddie’s disappearance from Praia da Luz, southern Portugal.

Prime suspect Christian Brueckner, 45, could face charges at some time in the New Year and police are continuing enquiries.

Brueckner was identified as the primer suspect in 2020 when it was found the convicted paedophile was living in a campervan near the McCann family's holiday apartment.

In November Brueckner accused German prosecutors of plotting to frame him for a string of crimes.

The Madeleine McCann suspect was charged last month over accusations of rape and sexual assault in Portugal. But the 45-year-old insists he has done no wrong.

In a rambling prison letter he wrote: “There is no evidence at all that I committed any of these crimes. No DNA, nothing.

“The time that some of these crimes are supposed to have happened I was in prison. The prosecution are trying to trap me and hope that I will capitulate under the mental pressure.

"They hope that I will just say ‘yes’ to everything which will give me a chance to escape from this mental torture.

“Certainly there is no evidence at all. Of course not because I have not committed any of these crimes.”

I thought that the McCanns did not accept the evidence of the German police and the case against Brueckner. If that is correct, how can this press report be correct?

On the other hand, If they do accept the case against Brueckner, why the message? And why is the fund still open?

They can't have it both ways

There is a noticeable lack of interest in the McCann saga these days - the intelligent tabloid #makesyerfonkdunnit appears to be clinging on like a limpet to a shipwreck.

The parents of Madeleine McCann vowed to “never forget” their daughter as they marked the start of another year without her.

Kate and Gerry McCann they will never “give up” searching for their daughter, who would now be 19. The couple have spent nearly 16 years searching for Madeleine and have never given up hope of finding her alive.

In a Facebook post, the pair said they face the new year with “continued determination and positivity”.

They also thanked their supporters and well-wishers for bringing an “extra touch of warmth and hope to our lives”.

The couple, both 54, wrote: “Christmas and other celebratory events will never be the same with our family incomplete.

“But we continue to make the best of our situation whilst never forgetting or giving up.

“We head into the new year with continued determination and positivity.

“May 2023 be a good one for us all. With our best wishes and eternal thanks. Kate, Gerry & family.”

The message comes after the couple did not release their usual and expected annual message to their daughter for the first time since she disappeared.

Madeleine vanished for a resort in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007 at the age of just three.

Her disappearance spaked a worldwide search for her that left no answers, little Madeleine appeared to have dispappread without a trace.

Kate and Gerry, from Rothley in Leicestershire, were dining at a tapas bar nearby when she vanished.

Twins Sean and Amelie, who were also in the flat at the time, celebrated this Christmas with their parents. Both are now 17-years-old.

As the couple's search for answers continue, German police named convicted paedophile Christian Brueckner as a prime suspect for Madeleine's abduction and murder.

They continue to investigate the 45-year-old, who is serving a jail term for raping a pensioner in Praia da Luz.

Recently, Brueckner was charged with five alleged sex attacks in Portugal, which he denies. He also denies any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance.

He has accused German authorities of a plot to frame him.

In prison letter he wrote: "There is no evidence at all that I committed any of these crimes. No DNA, nothing.

"The time that some of these crimes are supposed to have happened I was in prison. The prosecution are trying to trap me and hope that I will capitulate under the mental pressure."

Detectives are due to hold a top-level meeting in Wiesbaden this month to discuss latest developments in the Madeleine case.

The Met Police decided in April last year that they would end their 11-year probe in to Madeleine's disappearance.

The Met’s Operation Grange inquiry was launched in 2011, but funding ran out in the autumn of 2021.
