Gerry's slip is showing... Empty Gerry's slip is showing...

An interesting vid though UKers may find it hard to follow the antipodean accent at times...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6uQNt969DQ

At 2:31 (slo-mo at 2:48) GMcC seems to say any parent would want an investigation followed through to an illogical conclusion (we of course expect him to say logical, and no doubt he would also have intended to say that). I was surprised to hear this slip as they have got better over the years at controlling their speech. But clearly not that good. The video makers didn't appear to notice the slip.

It sounds like a logical conclusion to me. He also doesn't use the word an which he would if he was saying illogical.

I agree with you Irene 2, definitely sounds like "a logical conclusion".

I agree. What I heard was the usual Clyde-Bank pronunciation of "a" as "uh" - "uh logical conclusion"

What utter nonsense.  I do wish people wouldn't play around with video sound  in order to create a misleading interpretation.

Gerry McCann says "logical conclusion".  So what if he said illogical conclusion - not exactly world shattering news is it?  It's not even the sort of expression one would use - 'expect the police to come to a[n] illogical conclusion'?

What nonsense - move on!
