Similarities with the JonBenet case

Have any of you seen the recent documentaries about the JonBenet case and noticed the similarities between the two cases? After watching this documentary it made me wonder if the McCanns read about this case and copied some of the parents behaviour. For example the parents inviting their friends around to trample all over the crimescene....... And threatening their friends no to speak to the police or press. Unwillingness to speak to the police and wanting to be interviewed together. etc....
