I wonder if his work relates in any way to the use of statins - which literally millions of Brits take daily?

I wouldn't fancy him poking around my vitals!

Still, at least the loss of a precious daughter hasn't dented his ego nor wiped that supercilious smirk off his face. I do however wonder, was there ever a time when his career was in the balance as a result of his daughters mysterious disappearance and the FACT that he and his wife were/are prime suspects?

Most people, professors or otherwise, would have been pensioned off for a lot less!

Bloody hell - I've never seen that before, what a disgrace.

It's for the police to decide if someone has 'been involved in fraudulent activity' not the ruddy NHS. I despair.

What the heck is "liaising closely with the Leicester Constabulary who have lead investigations in this country as well as Child Protection Agencies" supposed to mean? Leicester Constabulary were/are not investigating the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. Did they consult the PJ or read the files made public way back in August 2008?

Seems to me the McCanns are protected from every orifice. Hissyfit

Unbelievable - or is it. So a doctors right to work is more important than a three year old child's right to live? This is not a petty crime like nicking a bottle from the duty free shop - the very fact that the McCanns were under suspicion, made arguidos in September 2007 and swiftly fled the country two days later, a status that has never been rescinded. If nothing else, Doug Skehan should have distanced himself from Gerry McCann.

I have to wonder if the case has been investigated as completely as possible why £12 million and counting has been spent on a review which led to re-investigation? That's the official line isn't it?
