ROBERT MURAT, the Quinta do Sto. Phunurius, Mark Leighton, Jorge Rocha and Wojchiech Krokowski
(Researched with the help of an informant who wishes to remain anonymous)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I begin with this extract from the PJ Files:
Officers: Carlos L. and Joao F., Inspectors.
Today, as ordered, we went to the city of Lagos to determine the various residences used and/or owned by R[obert] Murat or his family members.
--- With the intention of locating Quinta do Sto. Phunurius, it was possible to verify that it was in Rua D. Joao III in Ameijeira-Lagos, and in conversation with several residents it was possible to determine that it was a Quinta [farm estate] owned by an English citizen and managed by a North American man who lives at Travessa do Forno in Lagos, the people also having stated that the Quinta is used for "parties" of a sexual nature.
-------
The villa mentioned, Quinta do Sto. Phunurius, was and maybe still is owned by one Mark Leighton - who also for some reason also goes under the name 'Leighton Crook'.
Thus we know that Mark Leighton’s place, Quinta do Sto. Phunurius, was - to quote the PJ report, - one of “various residences used and/or owned by R[obert] Murat or his family members”.
MORE ABOUT MARK LEIGHTON
All other references to Mark Leighton/Leighton Crook and his alleged activities in this article have been removed at the request of Mr Leighton - Mod
Jean Miranda has staged various exhibitions at the Quinta do Sto. Phunurius villa over the years.
In turn, Jean Miranda is friends with a man called Jorge Rocha.
JORGE ROCHA
There was also a Jorge Rocha whom the PJ questioned about Polish visitor to Praia da Luz, Wojchiech Krokowksi, the man alleged by Nuno Lourenco to have twice tried to kidnap his four-year-old daughter in Sagres on Sunday 29 April. In the case of both ‘Jorge Rocha’s, they each are restaurant owners in the area, so it may reasonably be assumed to be the same individual.

Jorge Alberto Bandara Rocha
Date/Time: 2007/05/06 23H00 (6 May)
Businessman - Portuguese
- Is the proprietor of Refugio, a restaurant situated in Burgau, for about one year;
- The witness states that on [Tuesday] May 1, 2007, day off, at around 16H00, a couple appeared motivated by adverts in a block of apartments in 'Sol e Mar' in Burgau, in order to reserve a dinner table. The couple reserved the table closest to the door for 19H15;
- At that time the couple appeared and occupied said table;
- Almost immediately, the women began to photograph the interior of the restaurant without asking for permission. This situation captured the attention of the witness because his clients tend to be of a 'posher class' and are more discreet in their conduct. This couple’s clothing was of a vulgar fashion;
- The woman proceeded to photograph everything, people and objects for around 10 minutes. When she stopped photographing, the witness brought her a menu. They began to speak English, regarding fishes and as she could not identity the tamboril (a fish) she asked the witness if he knew the name in German. He responded ‘No’, that he did not. At the next table, there sat a German couple who gave the woman the name of the tamboril fish in German;
- From that sequence of events, the witness presumes that the client was not German, asked her nationally, to which she replied, Polish;
- Meanwhile, the client ordered an entrée and drinks (half a bottle of red wine of Monte Velho) and a bottle of [still] water;
- Witness adds that while he served the drinks, the woman took many pictures of the witness, without asking his permission. The witness, bothered by the situation, in an ironic form, told her that in order to continue taking pictures, she would have to pay after which she stopped;
- This woman took her pictures with a digital camera, of small dimensions, but he did not catch the brand or characteristics;
- He served her entrée: Mexilhao a Provencal and 'Alabote with caper sauce' to the male who devoured the entrees within 5 minutes. The woman took a bit longer and did not eat everything. They did not have desert and did not have coffee;
- The individual asked for the bill and paid cash. After, and hurriedly, the couple left the restaurant without saying goodbye to parts unknown;
- He noticed that they left on foot. They did not go by car. If they had a car it must have been parked well away from the restaurant;
- He describes the woman as Caucasian, around 32/33 years of age, blonde and in a pony-tail with clips. He believed it was not combed often. She also had dark eyes and was of normal height. She had a slim face and was around 170 cm tall (5’ 7”) and slim. She was wearing a printed beige dress and a bordeaux coloured jacket. She also wore trousers but he did not record the details. He did not look to her shoes;
- The male, also Caucasian, was around 35 years, about 180cm (5’ 11”) in height, dark hair combed to the back, slim face, dark eyes, rectangular glasses with transparent lenses in black frame. He was wearing a black shirt and a black jacket. His trousers were also black. He does not remember other details of his clothing;
- He had the sense that the couple were people with money and of culture;
- Confronted with a photograph in the file, the witness identified the two people who could be found behind the individual, as the couple who ate in his restaurant on May 01, 2007;
- States that the couple did not return to the restaurant after that time and he did not see them again;
- States that the couple did not comment on their visit to Portugal. States that they only spoke of fish. Nothing more. During drinks, he saw the couple speaking to other clients;
- States that the individual, when he reserved, did so in the book and the witness offered to make a page for authorities.

At this point it is of interest to note that the man who appointed Clarence Mitchell to be the McCanns’ spokesman, Howell James, on 6 May 2007 according to a Freedom of Information Act request, was once the partner of homosexual Brazilian dancer Reinaldo Avila da Silva, the man who is now Peter Mandelson’s long-term partner. It was once reported he’d enrolled a witch doctor to put a hex on his partner’s political enemies in a ceremony involving the slaughter of a live chicken. In February 2015 the Daily Mail reported that Reinaldo Avila da Silva had declared himself as an ‘osteopath’ by profession on his ‘LinkedIn’ page, a claim which drew a retort from the General Osteopathic Council that he was not on their register and was thereby was committing a criminal offence by describing himself as am osteopath. Mandelson and Reinaldo own an £8 million mansion in north London and rent a four-bedroomed cottage on the Rothschilds’ estate in Wiltshire – homosexuals with contacts at the very highest levels: LINK: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Howell James was a former BBC journalist and was a much sought-after ‘Special Adviser to both Conservative Prime Minister John Major and Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair for two decades. John Major used to holiday with the Symingtons, the family who co-owned the Ocean Club at the time of Madeleine's disappearance - and to whom Robert Murat and his father were related. Murat’s father and grandfather were in regular contact with the Symington family given their respective interests in the lucrative port and wine trade. The Symington family still enjoy special diplomatic privileges in Portugal today.
But to return to Robert Murat, we already know these things about him:
He…
1 admitted to regularly visiting the ‘Red Cloud’ ‘hard porn’ pornographic website
2 had encrypted material on his website and couldn’t explain how it got there
3 was accused by one witness of having child sex abuse images on his computer
4 was accused by another witness, businessman Carlos Manuel Mateus Costa, of attempted sexual intercourse with both cats and dogs in his teenage years. He added that Murat “had a strange personality, staying away from people, and not wanting to engage. He had somewhat of a violent attitude...when he went to the beach with Robert, he [Robert] would stay away from the rest of the group and not say a word to anyone the whole day….he also assorted a female cousin of his…These acts were hidden by Robert's mother, who protected him and who never punished him… He is also someone with a sadistic, violent and deviant sexual personality personality…He also was violent with his mother when he was reprimanded and would react by kicking her. Robert received psychiatric treatment whilst in the U.K.”
From the PJ files, we only get a glimpse of what relationship Murat had with Mark Leighton

Re: ROBERT MURAT, the Quinta do Sto. Phunurius, Mark Leighton, Jorge Rocha and Wojchiech Krokowski
It may be worth posting this reminder here. It's taken from Inspector Pedro Varanda's informal conversation with Robert Murat, on the 11.05.2007.
Quote
As you will know, Sir, on this day at 11h30, there appeared before the undersigned and (lady) Inspector Patricia Duarte, a British citizen called Diane Webster, holder of UK passport XXXXXXX, in order to hear her witness statement.
In the course of an informal approach that preceeded that work, it was determined that she was not conversant in Portuguese, written or spoken, and the service of an English-speaking interpreter was therefore called for.
In this function appeared a British citizen, Robert J.Q.E. Murat (duly identified in the files from previous work), official resident of Casa Liliana, Rua Ramalhete, Praia da Luz, Lagos.
The work [the DW interview] being concluded, and during an informal conversation that the undersigned began with that interpreter (as would be characteristic in this type of situation), Robert Murat displayed an unusual curiosity about the investigation that was developing around the disappearance of the minor Madeleine McCann that occurred on 3 May 2007.
As an example, it will be proper to point out that he has insistently and repeatedly questioned me about the identity of possible suspects, about the strategy outlined by the lead coordinator of the investigation and the work that might possibly have been considered for the coming days.
Before [faced with] such an attitude, that was so unusual and absolutely inappropriate that I immediately became highly suspicious, I always countered [ducked the questions], insistently requesting that person to be aware of the contractual duties pertaining to the role which he has assumed in this investigation, pointing out that it was presently the inquiry phase, and, naturally, covered by judicial secrecy.
It behoves me further to state that that suspicion became even more consolidated, following the fact that I became aware that Robert Murat would covertly attempt to catch glimpses of various procedural pieces [items being prepared for the case file] that make up the present inquiry, to the point that I followed my own consultation [hunch], in order to conduct the Diane Webster interview.
Finally, and in the sense of reiterating the suspicious attitude shown by Robert Murat, I venture still to state that, beyond having manifested an enormous knowledge about the dynamics inherent in the functioning of the "Ocean Club Garden" (in which the events under investigation had taken place) and of the routines followed by the McCann family and their companions during their respective stays in in Praia da Luz, he has tried persistently to influence the conduct of the present investigation, suggesting various analyses the agreement with which [i.e. had they agreed to follow those suggested lines of inquiry] could be intended to impute the consummation of the present illegal act [the missing child] to foreign third parties [i.e. to put the blame on, or to attribute the blame to, outside foreigners].
The above being exposed [laid bare] - and without intending in any way to place in question the competence of the above individual, nor the slightest imputation that that [my suspicions] was what he wanted to be [actually intended to do] - I have to bring the above incidents to your attention, in order for you to determine what may be appropriate.11 May 2007

* Unusual curiosity
* Insistently and repeatedly questioned me about the identity of potential suspects
* Insistently and repeatedly questioned me about the investigation strategy
* Insistently and repeatedly questioned me about the PJ's plans for its work in the next few days
* Covertly tried to snatch glimpses of confidential police documents
* Displayed an enormous knowledge about the workings of the Ocean Club
* Displayed an enormous knowledge about the routines of the McCann family
* Displayed an enormous knowledge about the routines of the McCanns' Tapas 7 friends
* Persistently tried to influence the course and conduct of the investigation
* Trying to blame the abduction on various third parties.
That's TEN separate charges against him by Insp. Varanda.
Add to that the SEVENTEEN lies he told the PJ about his movements between 1 and 4 May, and it would be a brave man or woman who would dare to suggest that there was an innocent reason for his early morning flight to Faro on Tuesday 1 May 2007

Re: ROBERT MURAT, the Quinta do Sto. Phunurius, Mark Leighton, Jorge Rocha and Wojchiech Krokowski
And this one, from Lorri Campbell:
Transcript
Lori Campbell: I was so suspicious by the Monday that I just felt I had a duty to pass those suspicions on. I spoke to my news desk back in London and then they said they thought that that was the right thing to do.
Ian Woods: Now, let's discuss why we were a little suspicious of him, because your suspicions were aroused first of all and you shared those suspicions with me. I then talked to him, investigated it, tried to find out whether his story was true and I have to say I came back and said his story checked out. What first of all made you suspicious of the fact that he was spending so much time around the scene?
LC: It was just very reminiscent of the Soham murders was my first instinct. There was a local guy. He was hanging around the scene an awful lot. He was asking us questions about what was going on in the investigation, maybe trying to find out what we knew and he just seemed to be giving an air that he was authoritative and he was working in an official capacity for the police. And I was just very suspicious about that, that they would take on board a man who was just a local guy. They have many people, I am sure, who speak Portuguese and English. Why would they ask him to, you know, go into the apartment, speak to the family and have that sort of contact with them?
IW: Now, how co-operative was Robert when you were talking to him, because first of all he wouldn't do any interviews with me. I have asked him to do interviews on camera. He declined and you approached him to do a proper interview and asked his identity and things like that?
LC: Well, he was very vague when I tried to ask about his background. He would chat to me quite openly, but he wouldn't give me his surname. He wouldn't tell me really where he was from, where he lives over here. He wouldn't give me a telephone number for him. And then I asked him what he did for a living. He was very vague. He said he worked for real estate. And I just had a really uneasy feeling about him from day one.
IW: You reported him to who and what was the response?
LC: My first call was to Leicestershire police back in the UK and they took all my details. A detective constable called me back and she suggested that I also speak to somebody out here. We didn't really have a police contact last week. So, I called the British Embassy and they said to speak to a policeman on the scene. So, I walked up to a GNR policeman and said, you know, "I've got suspicions about a gentleman who's been near the scene and I'd just like to pass those on." And one of my main suspicions was that he said he was translating witness statements and I asked them if that could be true and they said, "No, that's highly unlikely."

Quite.
There is little doubt that Mr Fixit was called back for a reason, but I would still question how much information he was given. Irrespective, another strong indicator (one of the first !) of an incident happening much earlier than the 3rd.
With regards to the original post, the information provided seems to provide further weight to the hypothesis that something happened at an organised sexual event with close association to well connected and influential people.
What we have seen ever since is self preservation.
IMO

Robert Murat,Patsy?
As Goncalo Amaral has stated the involvement of MI5/6 in this case involving the disappearance of Madeleine McCann supposedly on 3 May 2007 from 5a Ocean Club Apartments?
Having read the previous blogs and their connections to Government or can be accessed by them.
Clarence Mitchell & Lori Campbell,Soham Murders & Jill Dando murder,framing of BG?
Peter Mandelson Operation Ore?
Jim Gamble Operation Ore & CEOP.
Leicestershire Police force,Child Abuse by an MP/Lord.
Philip Edmonds,related to Margarat Hodge,Islington child abuse.
John Major and the Symmington family.Ocean Club proprietors?
Robert Murat, is he the Patsy or is he involved to MI5 via the Symmington connection whose son bears a remarkable resemblance to Robert Murat, allegedly seen by JT?
It is quite a tangled web that has been woven, is this in order to deceive?

Crikey! Come in textusa... all is forgiven! This case surely can't be whitewashed... Well not permanently, anyway. Congrats to TB for digging this out in the first place.

@Tony Bennett
Thank you and informant who wishes to remain anonymous - very interesting!
Sorry to slightly deviate from the main point but has anyone else ever wondered how the likes of the BBC get away with some of the television programmes they transmit? I'm no prude by any stretch of the imagination but have to say sometimes I'm disgusted by what I see. Pornography is but a mild term, it can and does go well into the realms of unbridled perversion.
If adults want to view extreme and/or alternative sexual practices, pornography has always been readily available, there is no need to use the medium of television - more so when you consider that this genre of programming is easily accessible to children - the watchershed time factor is crap, just to cover the broadcaster's backside in my opinion. Seems to me that the establishment in it's entirety is overrun with sexual deviants, which naturally would explain why so many atrocities are allowed to continue unabated.
Most definitely not off topic by the way - all roads lead to Rome.
