Mccanns: Don't Give Up Hunt for Maddie: Daily Star

Kate and Gerry McCann said they are incredibly grateful to every officer working to find Madeleine.
They insisted there is “still a job of work to be done” by the 31-strong Operation Grange team assigned solely to the case.
They spoke out after the London Metropolitan branch of the officers’ union the Police Federation called for the inquiry, which has already cost £10million, to be shelved.
Threat Chairman John Tully said the Met, which has made £600m cuts and faces another £800m by 2020, could no longer afford to take on “last resort” specialist cases others could not crack.
He said the 31 Operation Grange detectives could ease the workloads of colleagues investigating 14 unconnected murders in the capital since Christmas and battling the threat posed by Islamic State terrorists.
A friend of Kate, 47, and Gerry, 46, said: “It is up to the Met, the Prime Minister and the Home Office to decide the longevity of the investigation – not the Police Federation which has its own agenda.”
Madeleine, of Rothley, Leics, was three when she disappeared from a holiday flat in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3, 2007.

"Threat Chairman"? What kind of job title is that...? Any ideas?

Threat chairman. Government official employed to keep the public in a state of fear, issuing warnings of impending "terror attacks" by invisible enemies to justify illegal wars and rob us of our freedoms in the name of "security". That's just my take on it...don't think you will find that definition in the Oxford dictionary though. :)

Yes it's an old game that Thomas Jefferson warned against a few centuries ago.

Yes I agree. It's the old tactic of using something really emotive that no-one can really say they are against...ie. if we keep this operation going the terrorists will be able to attack us....is that what you really want?

I think we've had a constant drip feed of storys too about SY investigating pedos, gypsies, burgulators and childless couples to drum imto people that SY are wasting everybodies time and money....now together with the 'terrist' threat who could reasonably think the inquiry should go on?   It's a complete mystery that can never be solved and the silly public should just accept that 'fact'.

=====================================

'insisted' indeed!

There you go, DCI Wall, you've had your 'orders' from G&K...............................DO AS YOU ARE TOLD!

And if you DARE 'complain' i'm sure G&K will 'have a word' with T May or D Cameron to have you 'removed'!

There are plenty of other DCI's who'd step into you shoes,(if they are female, obviously) at a drop of a hat, for the 'cushy number' you have and 'comply' with the 'orders' from G&K.

DCI Wall.....................YOU'VE HAD YOUR CARD 'MARKED'............DO AS YOU ARE TOLD!

Just to add: There are 31 FULL TIME, SOLELY DEDICATED, 'elite, experienced, detectives' at OG PLUS 7 'support 'staff'

38 FULL TIME police/staff at OG!

Memo to DCI Wall: You might want to contact GA, and ask him, exactly, what 'integrity' means!

Just to 'help' you,

"Integrity" is the QUALITY of being HONEST and having strong MORAL PRINCIPLES; moral uprightness. It is generally a personal choice to uphold oneself to consistently MORAL and ETHICAL standards.

I'm sure you, DCI Wall, possess these 'qualities' in abundance.

Personal 'choice' DCI Wall, not rolling over and being a total 'lap b***h' to KM! (your real 'BOSS'?)

DCI Wall: I'm just saying, what EVERYONE is 'thinking'

Your 'boast' that 'I nick people BEFORE they even know they are nicked' is ringing pretty 'hollow' to me, right now!

DO THE RIGHT THING.

PLEASE!

Well how about you just cut to the chase, interview all of the people involved in their holiday again and record the inconsistencies. Then consider the statistical impossibility the both the dogs had got it wrong at the same time. Then consider the book of lies IMO then come on to this forum for a bit of advice on how to save money by doing the job properly.
