What about "Professional" burglars?
Since when these buggers are classed as professional ?
They made the crime of abduction sounds like a professional profession, Good Grielf !

Exactly. He had a key to the apartment block and the front door and knew the boy was sleeping alone. This ex-detective has used a very irresponsible turn of phrase "professional"!

Re: Mikaeel Kular
Reading this case makes me think immediately of Baby Aylas Reynolds who was allegedly abducted from her bed after being left to sleep along in what was normally a shared bedroom.
I therefire question the following:
How often did he normally get left to sleep alone in a shared bedroom? (shared with his twin sister)
I ask since it is way too coincidental that he vanished on a night where he was sleeping alone rather than as usual with his twin sister.
When was he last seen by an independant witness, this is to verify he was actually alive on such and such a date.
Were the doors etc locked or unlocked when the mom went to wake her child in the morning?
Unlocked means it could be possible for the child to have left on his own and not lock the doors.
If they were locked ( where were the keys? left in the door or missing?)
If they were locked and the keys are still present and no windows were open then we have to look right at the family Since a 3 year old isn't going to walk outside, lock the doors and then place the keys back inside the house either in the lock or wherever they were kept)
Have they brought in blood and cadaver dogs?
Are the family on the CPS register, are police aware of them?
How are relationships between the various fathers, the mother and the children?
If the mom has been reported as leaving them home alone is this often or a one off?
Where are the children when she is working?
Who looks after them?
Right now my instincts tell me this doesn't sound like an abduction stranger or familial.
If it was family then i would be looking at the father as it is usually a custody battle and in this case both twins would have been taken (although due to religion/nationality the parent may favor the boy over the girl)
If it was a stranger abduction there would be evidence of entry into the house, fingerprints and footprints especially given the reacent weather. Muddy/wet shoe prints would be present as would fingerprints.
What we are not being told is there is evidence of a break in/entry to the house of a non family member and reports that he did not walk out of the house on his own.
The words used are revealing, it is not what they telling us it is also what they aren't telling us.
They are skipping around family involvement given they make no mention of any evidence to indicate he was abducted and there was little to no possibility he walked out on his own ( which makes me think of the doors being locked etc.
I admit is such cases i am highly cynical, often the child is seen wandering by a car, passerby, cctv cameras etc and the child is often heading to somewhere familiar.
We have one report of a child? with a hat and he doesn't like hats.
He is described as wearing outdoor clothing, how many 3 yr olds go to bed wearing outdoor clothing or bother to gets themselves dressed before wandering off (Kiesha Abrahams)
I would also ask where coats etc were placed as in on a coathook or left lying around.
If he was dressing himself , what else could he do?
Was he parentified which can be a sign of neglect.
They learn to do things for themselves as their parent(s) don't bother.
There is a lot they aren't telling us in relation to the family, their dynamics etc.
For now, based on what is being said and not said, i have to look right at the family.

Re: Mikaeel Kular
If Mikaeel didn't return to nursery after the Christmas break, who was looking after him while his single parent mother ferried his siblings to and from school/nursery? Did she arrange for others to take them back and forth, or have they been absent too?tiny wrote:James Matthews @jamesmatthewsky

I'm not rushing to judgement on this one but I hope that, as a matter of course, the police will squeeze the child's father until the pips squeak and that a search of outward bound air travel data from the date of the child's last known attendance at nursery is underway.

Precisely the same thought that came into my mind. Could it be this exRMP is employed in some capacity or other by G&K or owes one of their minions a favour?aiyoyo wrote:ChippyM wrote:russiandoll wrote:The professional abductor had a key, then, as appears no signs of forced entry.

As a 'detective' he should surely be aware that even a rank amateur can pull off an abduction, burglary, or whatever, if they are in possession of the keys to a property.

Police say they have established a timeline of Mikaeel's movements going back to sometime prior to when they can establish he was last seen in the house on Wednesday night
by Sunita.Patel 5:49 PM
Asked if they were going to broaden the search ports, airports and further afield, Superintendent Liz McAinsh said all ports had already been contacted "as a standard response"

Re: Mikaeel Kular
Very interesting News conference.
Said almost nothing and got very defensive when asked sensible questions.
Even Bruntie afterwards seemed to be on the ball, and to realise that there is a lot more going on.
Not in Nursery since Christmas
but then refused to give details of subsequent sightings, except to say they had a "time line". (Scribbled on the cover of one of his books ? ? ?)
If he HAD been seen that day - would they not say so ?
got extremely defensive about his having been taken out of the country.
Very non-commital about whether they really had spoken to the real father
Surely not another massive fraud / scam / lie

Re: Mikaeel Kular
The first flights out of Edinburgh Airport are at 5.30am. Was it possible Mikaeel was out of the country already? - the officers were asked.

Seems a funny question to ask.
this is the answer given to the above question.

Re: Mikaeel Kular
It seems to me that everything that can be done is being done. The police and related services are all working as expected. The local community are searching as expected. I'm particularly impressed with Superintendent McAinsh in the way she is dealing with the media. She's forthright, hasn't hesitated when answering questions, has given her message to the local community to assist and appears very much in charge of things and completely competent.
It's not reasonable imo to expect details to be given out by the police at this point.
I pray this little boy is found alive and well.

Re: Mikaeel Kular
Says this on BBC website. Seems they're still speculating to me.
Police are investigating the possibility that three-year-old Mikaeel Kular has gone missing following "a criminal act", a senior officer confirmed.
But Assistant Chief Constable Malcolm Graham said it was also possible the boy left his home of his own accord.
