The latest McCann suspect: Scotland Yard has revealed vital new information about a suspect wanted in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Gerry walked the rocks and sand with a friend. He never clarified what he was doing. A set of unpublished images, released this Sunday by the CM, show Gerry, the father of Madeleine McCann - the English girl who was then three years old disappeared in the Algarve on May 3, 2007 -, and a friend , in the middle of Praia da Luz, a few days after the alert, in what seems like private searches in the sand and rocks. It is another element to cast doubt, at a time when the German police insist that Christian Brueckner, who lived in the Algarve at that time, kidnapped and killed the child.


It is not known who the man is. Only that they left without being seen from the Ocean Club village, where the girl disappeared and where hundreds of journalists and police were concentrated. They used a rear access, reserved for employees. They went to the beach, about 500 meters from where Maddie was left to sleep with her two 18-month-old brothers.

Gerry and his friend talked on the wall and went down to the rocks, where they were looking for something. At that time, the only thesis was still that of abduction. It was advanced by the parents and fed by the English police. There were searches in several places and suspects were being sought. Gerry's behavior was never explained. Only on that beach he met at least two more Englishmen.


José Manuel Anes, a criminalist and university professor, said on Saturday at CMTV that the McCann couple tried to hire him as an expert, at a time when Kate and Gerry were defendants. He did not answer them.

I have seen at least one of these 'photos on the forum; I thought at the time they are looking for something very small, such as a mobile 'phone, or a camera.

The newspapers Correio da Manha 24Horas and Diraio de Noticias being consulted on 23 and 24 July, it was found that Gerald travelled alone on this occasion to Washington, USA. 

The return to Portugal occurred on 26th. The first activation happened at 16:41:06 on the antenna "Faro Airport"
 
Yet in the book it clearly states Justine went with him.
 
If 18 July was the date I now identify as a turning point, the following Monday, 23 July, was the day when the warning sirens should have started to sound. 
Gerry, accompanied by Justine, had flown out to Washington, DC, primarily to visit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Virginia, a trip he’d been keen to make since establishing contact with the centre’s CEO, Ernie Allen.

As for the rocks photos, we have certainly seen very similar if not the exact same photos before, but I do not recall the one of GM walking along the promenade, although I may be wrong.

Vila da Bispo is a bit strange choice to search. As far as I know the only things there that are even remotely connectable are:

1. A LIDL shop - a Lidl bag was found in Germany under his buried dead Dog. Memory cards and sticks full of his exploits on them.
2. Various motor repair shops and outlets for spare parts like BOSCH. That would fit his vehicle at the time.
3. Derelict buildings in the area where he could have parked up his VW
Campervan which have wells near them.

Interesting developments indeed. Considering the only other people associated with the triangle of PDL - Bensafrim - Sagres...

The tension rises...

Sandra Felgueiras continues to tell her viewers that it's becoming more apparent that the evidence points to Christian Brueckener's involvement.

I'm still waiting for that evidence.

Who is she working for?

Unless this evidence has been planted and leaked - how would she know anything if CB hasn’t been asked, and won’t talk anyway?

I doubt that the UK or BKA would have given her anything.

There isn't any evidence to connect Christian Brueckner to Madeleine McCann's disappearance, at least not that I've seen.

A continuation of trashy news reports associating his name and/or presence in many locations and any number of crimes.  He is either a serial criminal with no preferences for what, why, when or where or there is some very serious mischief going on.  At present I go with the latter.

The name Wolter crops up almost every day, he talks of murder he talks of abduction he talks of evidence he talks of guilt - what he doesn't talk of is exactly what he's talking about!

For the umpteenth time, the McCanns themselves introduced the abduction by paedophile thesis on the night of 3rd May 2007 and onwards.  That thesis has been run to this very day, both by team McCann and associates and mainstream media.

It doesn't take a genius to work it out.  In the summer of 2007, the McCanns took their roadshow across Europe into North Africa - the focus was always on abduction by paedophile and/or child trafficking.

The long term agenda, they so proudly professed, has come to fruition.  Just as long as a latest suspect is a known or suspected paedophile or child abuser (ideally dead), nothing else matters.

PORTUGUESE police say they now have "fundamental evidence" Madeleine McCann is dead, say reports.

The claims comes as cops "launched searches" for the Brit youngster's body in rural wells on the Algarve.

The hunt is said to have been conducted in Vila do Bispo, a short drive from Praia da Luz where she vanished aged three, in May 2007.

Portuguese state broadcaster RTP earlier reported detectives discovered “fundamental evidence” linking Christian B to her disappearance.

Hans Christian Wolters, the chief prosecutor in the case, previously wrote to Madeleine's parents telling them he has "concrete evidence" she was no longer alive.

He said in a letter to Kate and Gerry that he has no doubt their daughter is dead, but he refused to tell them why.

Wolters told them that to reveal the evidence would jeopardise his investigation into the German suspect.

Firefighters have also been called in to help with the new search with reports saying they were ''looking for a body''.

The broadcaster has also linked the German 43-year-old to another missing persons’ case in the Algarve resort of Silves.

More details are expected to be revealed later.

RTP reporter Sandra Felgueiras last week revealed Christian B had been arrested on suspicion of exposing himself to children in a playground a short drive from Praia da Luz in 2017 when he was on the run from German authorities.

She also quizzed a couple the convicted paedophile used to live with in Portugal who claimed a Scotland Yard neighbour had been helping Algarve investigators probe Madeleine’s disappearance.

There was no immediate official response from Portuguese police to the RTP well search claims.

Last month, we reported how cops were poised to dig up land around two Portuguese lairs where Christian B lived near Praia da Luz.

One home, a farmhouse, is just 25 minutes' walk from the hotel where the Madeleine went missing 13 years ago.

The single-storey farmhouse property is littered with abandoned wells and sits on a hillside with a footpath to the beach where the three-year-old played.

Portuguese police were said to be considering searching the abandoned wells near the farmhouse, which was rented by Christian B.

According to Portuguese newspaper Sol, the Judicial Police (PJ) has looked at the possibility Madeleine's body could be in the wells.

But at that point Portuguese cops hadn't received a request from German authorities to search places frequented by Christian B, it was reported.

After the recent appeal which led to Christian B being identified as a suspect, cops were said to be on standby to search areas German prosecutors pinpointed as possible burial sites once they had extra information.

In June 2014, Scotland Yard detectives backed by a team of sniffer dogs excavated scrubland around 300 yards from the farmhouse building, but unearthed no clues.

The beauty spot is also well known to Madeleine's parents Kate and Gerry McCann, who regularly jogged around Black Rock after launching their hunt for their daughter in Praia da Luz in May 2007.

A Portuguese source said in June: “Judicial Police have confirmed they have been approached by German authorities in connection with the case and they will undoubtedly be prepared to carry out fresh searches in the hope of giving the McCanns closure.

“The obvious focus would be around the hillside former farm building and another property nearby with links to him.”

Earlier this week reported on claims cops investigating Madeleine's disappearance failed to probe a crucial phone call connected to suspect Christian B.

Jim Gamble, who was a senior child protection officer during the UK's initial McCann probe, alleged they missed their “golden hour” by not examining the phone data.

He said: “The information about what telephone was there at a particular time in connection with another number… was captured, but it had never been properly interrogated.

"So that data hadn't been analysed.

In 2010, Gamble published a report into the case which had been commissioned by then Home Secretary Alan Johnson.

After this the Metropolitan Police to re-opened their own investigation because of alleged failings from Portuguese detectives.

One recommendation Mr Gamble made was to re-examine a “cell dump” which was a vast backlog of phone data collected from towers.

German investigators claim they have traced the phone used by their prime suspect and found it connected to the mast owned by the resort complex where the McCanns were staying.

Hans Christian Wolters said this has allowed them to place Christian B at the scene around the time Madeleine was taken.

The phone call has been a central part of the renewed police probe since the twice convicted paedophile was named as a key suspect earlier this month.

The serial offender is currently in jail in his homeland for unrelated offences.

The suspect's lawyer Friedrich Fulscher said in June he ‘denies any involvement’ in Madeleine’s disappearance.

Maybe because this particular "lead" was massively overblown in the media, compared to other reports over the previous years, the less informed public will now believe it to be more credible than other past false leads.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I wonder if this Christian Bruckner affair hits a dead end (and I think it will), people will start to become disillusioned with the mainstream media, which has spread propaganda about this case for more than a decade now.

You can't have so many fake news, without the public eventually opening their eyes.

Speaking exclusively to the Sunday Mirror, former Scots Guard Peter Verran, 46, revealed how Hewlett, his German wife Mariana, 33, and their six children arrived at the campsite where he was holidaying in Chefchaaouen in a battered Dodge truck. It was May 2007 – shortly after Madeleine’s disappearance.

POLICE hunting for the body of Madeleine McCann have spent 12 hours searching three deep, remote wells — amid fears suspect Christian B dumped her in one.

They are less than five miles from the apartment in the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz where she was snatched aged three in 2007.

And sources yesterday said the hunt may now be widened to other abandoned wells nearby.

A 15-strong team of Portuguese police, firefighters and divers arrived in the village of Budens, about 4½ miles west of Praia da Luz on Thursday, locals said.

They worked all day, erecting gantries above the brick and concrete well shafts before divers equipped with underwater lights were lowered into the murky water.

They were believed to have been acting on a tip off, possibly from German investigators, that Christian's VW van was known to have been in the area.

The spot is a nine-minute drive from Praia da Luz — and three minutes from the Boca do Rio beach where German “hippie types” like Christian regularly parked up in camper vans.

It is believed Thursday’s hunt at the wells, which are within 100 metres of each other, did not turn up any important evidence.

But the area’s dense scrubland is pocked with dozens more, which are yet to be searched.

Portuguese TV reported there was “fundamental evidence” which led police to search the area and speculated that Christian may have had an accomplice.

It was also reported that a beach seen in the foreground of a known photograph of Christian's camper van is close to the wells.
'EXTREMELY DANGEROUS'

Christian's van is also known to have been photographed on the beach at Praia do Barranco, 40 minutes west of Praia da Luz.

Farmer Mario Lucas, 60, who has a smallholding next to the search site said yesterday: “There are many wells like that here.

“The three they looked at were probably 100 years old and used for generations to draw water for farmers’ crops.

“They spent the whole day there and I saw a diver being lowered into the water. But they didn’t take a look at the well on my land a few metres away.

“That makes me think they might have had information about exactly where to look.”

Mr Lucas said the 50ft deep wells, which have no protective covers, were extremely dangerous.

He added: “If you fall in one of those you never get out — no ­matter how good a swimmer you are, you’re gone forever.

“It happened to a local drunk not so long ago and he died.

“I heard about the Madeleine story like everyone else and feel very sad for her and her family.

“It would be awful if her story ended in a place like this.”

Locals complained that the area had for years been a dumping ground for “degenerate” young ­people from Germany and the UK who live on the beaches.

But no one in the area could yesterday recall or identify Christian, now 43.

He was named as the prime suspect in the McCann case by German police last month.

Sources suggested new leads pointing them towards the wells may have emerged from pictures showing his distinctive white and yellow VW Westfalia camper van parked in the area.

Locals had stopped using all three of the Budens wells years before Madeleine was abducted while on holiday in Praia da Luz with parents Kate and Gerry.

It was unclear last night whether Portuguese police are searching other sites nearby.

TIME IS RUNNING OUT

But time is running out as German, British and Algarve police battle to find enough evidence to charge convicted child sex offender, rapist and drug dealer Christian with Madeleine’s abduction.

He is currently serving time in a German jail for drug offences — while appealing against his conviction in December for raping a 72-year-old American woman in Praia da Luz, two years before Madeleine vanished.

If that appeal is successful and the rape conviction is overturned, he could be freed as early as Wednesday because he is eligible for parole on his drug sentence.

Last week it emerged Christian had been arrested on the Algarve in 2017 for allegedly exposing himself to children in a playground a short drive from Praia da Luz.

He was on the run from German authorities at the time and was never charged over the incident in San Bartolomeu de Messines because inquiries were mothballed.

Christian denies being involved in Madeleine’s disappearance.

But German prosecutors say they have clear evidence Madeleine is dead and are conducting their case as a murder inquiry.

Scotland Yard says it remains a missing person probe.

The Sun revealed last month that new ground searches were planned by Portuguese police after Christian was named.

But the focus then was on two homes close to Praia da Luz where Christian had lived during his time on the Algarve.

Scrubland was earmarked near a hillside home in the shadow of Black Rock peak — above a beach where Madeleine played on the family’s holiday.

Land around a single-storey former farmhouse plot — where Christian lived with a German girlfriend between 1999 and 2006 — is also littered with deep, abandoned well shafts.

Divers to search a well?

In my late teens my father relocated the family to the country.   In the grounds was a working well, once used as a watering hole for passing  horses.  Any creature, like rats, found within would be floating on the water's surface.

This is all nonsensical fabrication.

Oh, I forgot to mention. Madeleine McCann was not abducted.

Let's say they find her body down a well.

They have to prove he did it.
