I wondered if she might have been a very stressed mother. She was on her own with 5 young children, and perhaps there was an accident. If he has been missing for some time, then it becomes more sinister.

Poor little boy... I hope he's playing in a beautiful garden with Madeleine and all of the other innocents who deserved so very much more.

Perhaps he was injured (either because she wasn't there looking after him at the time, or because she has lost her temper with him) during the Christmas holidays, perhaps she has not sought the medical attention he needed, and she has not been able to take him to nursery because of this.

Perhaps, just thanking all the Gods and anyone else that they have 'detained her' before she possibly did anything to the other little ones.

NOTHING, that's what, NOTHING!

Possibly 'accidental' but if it was she didn't want him, then 'dump' him on Social Services!

No one would have given her grief over that.

"As a result of enquiries the body of a young child was recovered in Fife just before midnight.

"We strongly believe this to be the body of Mikaeel.

"A person has been detained in connection with the recovery of the body and members of Mikaeel's family have been informed of the recovery."

If they found the body as the result of enquiries, it sounds very much like someone provided the information to the police.

No doubt the inhabitants of the Towers were hoping for an entirely different outcome. As it is, they'll have to contend with the comparisons which will inevitably be drawn.

As they want Dr Amaral's book and all reference to it removed from the net so that Sean and/or Amelie can't read it, maybe the McCanns will seek to have all reference to Mikaeel having been a twin whooshed in case either or both of their twins start thinking 'it could have been me' if they should ever research their sister's death.

I very much doubt it, Bellisa. As they've made clear, K&G never comment on police investigations and they surely wouldn't want to say anything which might prejudice any eventual trial of whoever is responsible for this darling little boy's death. < shameless liars emoticon > angry

Such a tragic outcome. I reckon he was neglected and developed pneumonia after his cold and perhaps died when the mum was out, think he has been disposed of for a while. Time will tell. So heartbreaking.

Poor baby another one gone.

To be honest I never thought the end was going to be a good one. There was no way that 3 year old could have gotten out of the flats on his own.

i expect he has been dead more then a few hours.

What a sorry end. IF it was the mother it isnt unusual sadly, its becoming more and more usual rather unusual now which doesnt bode well for young children does it.

Looks like police may have found him in a cottage connected to his grandmother the GP which seems to have been unoccupied. Poor little mite.

Wonder if cadaver dogs were used. Wonder if the McCann fb references were whooshed in anticipation that dogs found the body.

Sky are reporting that Mikaeel Kular's body was found at a bungalow in Kirkcaldy belonging to his aunt.

Mikaeel's grandmother is a local GP in the area.

Mikaeel is reported to have been known to social services in Edinburgh.

It has been revealed that Mikaeel had not been seen at his nursery since BEFORE Christmas.
