Media spin or a willing patsy?
Brückner’s Nachmieter (the Person who Rented the Flat behind the Kiosk after he left), Norbert M was the first to mention this Story about the Dogs being left to die in there after Brückner ran away to Portugal.
This was put out in a Spiegel TV report over a year ago. Brückner could have sued him already.
If as Brückner says, Jutta Rabe and her Team were advised in advance that this Story was wrong, but decided to include it in the SAT1 production anyway, it can only be to work against his interests. Nothing to do with balanced Reporting of the known facts.
It is probably because Brückner has some form of Proof (Veterinary bills, or Death certification) that he can prove definitively that this is demonstrably untrue. That is why he can lay Charges in this case.
He is still in Jail however for a Rape, for which (according to the Medical report from Amaral) there is no Evidence of.

Madeleine McCann dead claim ‘raises more and more questions’ for Kate and Gerry
THE CLAIM by German prosecutors that Madeleine McCann is dead "raises more and more questions" for her parents Kate and Gerry, as the Metropolitan Police hold out on the missing girl.
By Aleks Phillips
09:00, Sat, Mar 5, 2022
Madeleine disappeared when she was three years old, while her family were on holiday in Portugal in 2007. Prosecutors in Braunschweig said in June 2020 they believed that their prime suspect, convicted rapist and child sexual abuser Christian B, to have killed Madeleine.
Christian B has always denied all allegations in relation to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Meanwhile, the Met Police have previously said that Operation Grange, their active investigation into the disappearance, remains a missing person inquiry as there is no “definitive evidence whether Madeleine is alive or dead”.
These conflicting approaches do little to help Kate and Gerry come to closure on the matter, Charlie Hedges, a missing person specialist at Amber Alert Europe, said.
He told Express.co.uk: “It just raises more and more questions, raises hopes in their minds that things are going to be resolved – and only to be dashed once again.
“I’m sure that’s happened to them many, many times over the years.”
Mr Hedges said that though there were still active investigations looking for answers, nearly fifteen years since she went missing, the McCanns are “realistic enough to know that the chances of being able to successfully conclude this gets smaller as time goes forward.”
He added that he hoped that “for their sake it can be resolved, because they’re suffering this horrendous grief of not being able to have any closure on what happened to Madeleine – this ambiguous loss.
“If someone’s dead, you actually know what's happened and can get on with your life in these circumstances.
“[At the moment] it’s open ended and you can’t close it down and move on. You just don’t know.”
Aagje Ieven, secretary general of Missing Children Europe, stressed “how important that is, for parents to be able to close such cases”.
She explained the issue of “complex grief” among parents of missing children, a state in which “you need to find some way to live with the fact that your child is not there anymore, but not being able to put it in context.”
Ms Ieven said that this was “something that’s really challenging for families”.

Smacks more of a public relations exercise to me.

It's a toss-up to me whether the tabloid press is feeding the websleuths forum, or the websleuth forum is feeding the tabloid press.
Whatever, the danger appears to be a general underlying dislike of Gonçalo Amaral and an apparent urgent need to keep Breuckner in focus as the villain wot done it!
As always - total disregard for the absence of any evidence to suggest abduction!
Jon Clarke follows the route as does Mark William-Thomas, he of firing double barrels. I sense a campaign.
Gerry McCann's long term agenda springs to mind.

Possibly because the ‘Abductors’ realised that they were now in charge of easily identifiable goods which were too hot to handle.
Thanks to the Parents going against Police advice and Publicising the event around the world.

Madeleine McCann disappearance ‘could have been burglary that went wrong’ – new theory
THE ASSUMPTION that Madeleine McCann was taken "to control or abuse her" may be a likely narrative. But other theories concerning her disappearance could be just as possible.

Madeleine went missing when she was three years old, while her family were on holiday in the Algarve in 2007. Convicted rapist and child sexual abuser Christian B was identified as the prime suspect in Madeleine's disappearance by investigators in Braunschweig in June 2020.
‘Clinching evidence’ still needed in Maddie case after new revelations
Maddie dead claim ‘raises more and more questions’ for Kate and Gerry
They claim he is responsible for the killing of Maddie. Christian B has always denied all allegations in relation to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
Recent disclosures reported by German outlets suggest there were stashes of child pornography at various addresses belonging to Christian B.
It follows claims by German outlet RTL that it had acquired secret chat logs of Christian B’s conversations on the dark web.
In one message, it claimed he suggested he wanted to “capture something small and use it for days”.
Missed opportunity in Maddie case as prime suspect initially dismissed
In a recent documentary about Christian B by German TV channel Sat.1, former acquaintances of Christian B claimed they found memory devices containing images of child sexual abuse when visiting his addresses.
RTL claimed that Christian B told his chat partner that he would make a lot of films if he were to capture a “little one”.
These recent revelations could go some way to explain why Christian B has been deemed the prime suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance by German investigators.
However, when asked about other possibilities, Charlie Hedges, a former member of the UK police who previously was head of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection unit at the National Crime Agency, told Express.co.uk that Madeleine’s disappearance “could have been a burglary that went wrong”.
Christian B was known to have repeatedly burgled in the Algarve. Mr Hedges said: “It could be just [that] it was a burglary.
“It could be not for a sexual abuse motive; it could have been something else that then escalated because of circumstances.
“It’s all speculation, because they just don’t know and we don’t have enough information, but it could be a lot of reasons. And sometimes cases, take on a different complexion, because of things you just don't know. Bizarre things happen.”

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
A "Burglary gone wrong" is when the burglar gets caught or breaks his ankle jumping out of the window.
Not when he can't find the wallet with the Travellers' cheques and steals a 'bundle' only to discover some time later it is a child.
It is one of the more ludicrous [McCann] suggestions to have come out of this whole farce.

Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner moans that inmates have threatened to kill him and he is in constant fear of attack as he serves sentence for raping pensioner
Christian Brueckner, the chief suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, is currently jailed in Germany for rape of an American pensioner
He has written to wardens complaining of conditions and asking to transfer.
Brueckner said other inmates are threatening him and he can't leave his cell
Also complained about having to buy his own pens and lack of coffee creamer
By Chris Pleasance and Nick Enoch for MailOnline
Published: 16:19, 23 March 2022 | Updated: 16:51, 23 March 2022
The prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has complained that inmates in the jail where he is currently serving time are threatening to kill him.
Christian Brueckner, who is behind bars in Germany for the rape of a 72-year-old American tourist, also moaned about having to buy his own pens from the prison shop and a lack of coffee creamer.
The 44-year-old - who has not been charged over Madeleine's 2007 disappearance but has been identified by police as their suspect - made the complaints in a 14-page missive penned from a 8ft by 10ft cell at Oldenburg prison, near the city of Bremen.
German newspaper Bild obtained a copy of the letter and says Brueckner wrote that other inmates have learned who he is because of a documentary detailing his links to Madeleine's disappearance.
Since then he has been subjected to verbal abuse and death threats, the letter says, including one man who walked up to him in a yard and threatened to murder him.
'I am forcing myself to isolate myself because there is a high probability of a physical attack by fellow prisoners,' he said. 'It's torture.'
Brueckner claims to only leave his cell for one hour every day for fear of being killed, and to avoid certain areas of the prison where prisoners could easily fashion weapons to attack him.
He also complained that prison guards confiscated a set of pens he was sent because they were a 'safety hazard', forcing him to buy his own from the shop.
And he is also said to have complained about a lack of coffee creamer.
The letter emerged just days after police sources said Operation Grange - the British inquiry into Madeleine's disappearance - will be wrapped up later this year if no new lines of inquiry emerge before then.
Detectives are said to be frustrated by the failure to compile sufficient evidence to prosecute Brueckner despite publishing his name in the hopes of drawing out witnesses or others with information on him.
He denied any involvement in the disappearance of the youngster from an apartment in Praia da Luz on the Algarve.
Operation Grange, overseen by the Metropolitan Police, is estimated to have cost £13 million.
The Sun said it was understood that Madeleine's parents, Gerry and Kate, both 54, are aware of the impending closure but have vowed to continue their search.
Brueckner is serving a seven-year jail sentence in Germany for raping a 72-year-old American tourist at the same resort where Madeleine disappeared - two years before she vanished.
The Operation Grange team has in recent years been pared down from 40 officers to just four detectives working under Detective Chief Inspector Mark Cranwell.
His team also liaises with Madeleine's parents, of Rothley, Leicsestershire.
In June 2020, police in Britain and Germany launched a renewed appeal for witnesses after disclosing they had a new suspect, who was later revealed to be Brueckner.
German prosecutors remain convinced he was responsible for the youngster's disappearance but despite an intensive investigation have not brought any charges.
Brueckner also is alleged to have admitted abducting Madeleine to a friend - and the German team of investigators, led by public prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters, said they were certain he had killed the three-year-old.
It is now highly unlikely that he will be charged over her disappearance.
Wolters went as far as holding a press conference where he addressed Madeleine's parents Kate and Gerry over the air.
He insisted: 'We are confident we have the man who took and killed your daughter. All I can do is ask for your patience.'
But claims German detectives had sent multiple notes to Madeleine's family were rubbished within days.
And the Met itself released a pointed statement correcting the allegations about the correspondence.
It said last year: 'The Met received one letter from the BKA [Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany] on June 12, which was passed to the family.
'The letter did not state that there was evidence or proof that Madeleine is dead, the MPS continues to investigate Madeleine's disappearance as a missing person investigation. No letter has been received by the Met from the German prosecutor.'
In fact in May last year, Kate and Gerry restated they still believed she could be alive.
A statement that month said: 'The Covid pandemic has made this year even more difficult for many reasons but thankfully the investigation to find Madeleine and her abductor has continued.

Pardon me for being pernickety but I thought Christian 'Germanman' Brueckner was being detained in solitary.
What do they do taunt him through the bars - threaten him with words ?
Just when I thought we'd seen the back of Brueckner.

What the frickin' heck is this hack doing in Cambodia - rubbing bits with Jim Gumboil?
It's weekend, cornflakes at the ready..
Exclusive: Friend '100% certain' Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner snatched her
Christian Post, a former friend of the prime suspect in Madeleine McCann's disappearance, is convinced Christian Brueckner took the three-year-old British girl in May 2007 at Praia da Luz on the Algarve
ByMartin Fricker in Cambodia
20:00, 1 Apr 2022Updated20:46, 1 Apr 2022
Christian Post believes his former pal Christian Brueckner came across Madeleine McCann by chance as she slept in her apartment before snatching her.
The 54-year-old is now convinced the German paedophile took the three-year-old British girl in May 2007 at Praia da Luz on the Algarve.
And Post claimed Brueckner boasted of burgling holiday flats during chilling “night-crawls” across the Portuguese resort.
He told how the chief suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance had up to 100 passports from properties he raided. And he admitted he regrets not tipping off police about his crimes, but insisted he is willing to try to help bring him to justice over the missing toddler.
German Post, a talented musician and IT expert, became friends with Brueckner, 45, after the pair met in an Algarve bar in the early-2000s.
He initially believed his fellow countryman could not have been behind Madeleine’s kidnap and thought his criminality was limited to burglary.
But since discovering Brueckner had been convicted of child sex offences in his teens, Post said it was now “so obvious” he snatched her.
He added: “Now I know about his paedophile past, his rapist past. I’m 100% certain it was him.
“I think he found her by chance and just took her on the spur of the moment.
“I think once you are a paedophile, there is a switch in your brain that cannot be turned off. If he saw a little girl asleep, alone in her apartment, he would definitely have taken her.
“Thinking about what he has done in the past makes me sick, it makes me want to vomit knowing I was hanging with him. If he is convicted of taking Madeleine I hope they lock him up and take away the key.”
Post was tracked down by the Mirror to a small town in southern Cambodia where he lives under an assumed name.
In his first ever interview he told how he and Brueckner would go to each other’s flats after they became friends.
Post said he knew his new pal was on the “fringes” of crime but had no idea of the true scale until a later visit to his ramshackle farmhouse.
He said: “I was sat in the living room and noticed piles of passports on the fireplace. There honestly must have been between 60 and 100 of them, neatly stacked up in three piles.
“He told me he got them on his ‘night-crawls’ in Praia da Luz, climbing onto balconies and through windows. It shows how many burglaries he must have done.
“He said he would go into rooms and take what he wanted. At the time I guessed he was talking about cash, jewellery, passports… but now who knows?
“He would only do it at night, it was too risky being seen in the daylight.
“He also said he was trafficking a bit of weed to make cash. But there was absolutely no sign he was into children or anything like sexual crimes.
“Do I have regrets not telling the police about the passports at the time? I guess I do.
“But now I’m willing to go back to court, to face him again, and help convict him if they want me to.”
Post only discovered Brueckner had been convicted of child sex offences after reading about them in the press.
And we can reveal he has twice been interviewed by detectives investigating the suspect and Madeleine’s case.
Post also gave evidence against him at his 2019 trial for raping a pensioner in Praia da Luz in 2005, for which he is serving seven years in Germany.
He fell out with Brueckner in 2006 after the crook asked him to go to his house and clear out anything incriminating while he was in a Portimao prison for stealing petrol.
Post found some porn films and binned them rather than take them to a friend’s house who had children. He said: “He thought I was stealing from him or something.”
The pair met briefly again in 2012 after Post had returned to Germany to work on a Christmas market in Solingen near Dusseldorf.
But after moving to Cambodia in 2015, he was stunned when his brother rang three years later to say German detectives wanted to speak to him.
Post added: “They said he was a suspect in the Madeleine case. I was absolutely shocked.”
He said he had never spoken about Brueckner publicly before over fears he would be linked to the Madeleine case. And he insisted he had nothing to do with any of the suspect’s crimes.
German prosecutors named Brueckner as a suspect in June 2020 and claim to have evidence he abducted and killed her. He denies any involvement in the case.
Madeleine’s parents Kate, 54, and Gerry, 53, from Rothley, Leics, continue to believe she is alive somewhere.
Last week it was reported Home Office funding for Scotland Yard’s Operation Grange investigation into the disappearance will end this year.
The probe, opened in 2011, has so far cost more than £13million.

What a load of old rollox - it's borderline embarrassing.
As an aside, a news exclusive is not generally from a primary source. journalists are not readily available on the scene to report direct. An exclusive, like the disappearance of a three year old child whilst holidaying with her family, would be circulated by a press agency. Even in the event of interested parties contacting specific media outlets from the outset, it would make no difference. Any self respecting media source would check out detail, known facts, before publishing.
The grapevine would play a part, the journalistic fraternity but the breaking news itself would come from a central source.
This suggests that the disappearance of Madeleine McCann was first alerted through a press agency.
I digress.

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
exclusive, so the mirror does not except jon clarke his musings as press, he has christian p. already in his book, but the german press had christian p. or post already out there on 09.10.2020, 18.00 Uhr • aus DER SPIEGEL 42/2020
shame the link is behind a paywall. https://www.spiegel.de/panorama/justiz/fall-madeleine-mccann-verdaechtiger-die-akte-christian-b-a-00000000-0002-0001-0000-000173444515
but on another forum someone made a comprehension of it.
then there was spoken of 30 to 50 passports, so that must have gotten a little water to grow.
but some video's with porn in the mirror must have been to hot washed, as in the spiegel was spoken of a 100 cd's with porn, including porn with animals.
also this cp is the man of the oranges spiked with wodka to bring to cb in the portuguese jail, what he would not do, cp i mean.
but cp was not very good in cleaning out, because it must have been after his presence when manfred s. and helge b. were doing it again. and found some very nasty stuff. but by the last book of amaral both former criminals are telling a very differently story about that event.
and if you tell me you are a it expert and talented musician, but are living under an fake name in cambodia, and have to earn your keep on a german christmas market it sound not as very good credentials.
and before that he was just one of the bunch of germans who stayed out there in the algarve. so i would start thinking, is this just another criminal too. living under an alias abroad usually is criminal, so i can write that easily.
so is this another route to finance a lively hood, like it is done successfully by manfred s. and helge b. bjorn forgot his last name looks never gotten beyond beer money.
most of the talking heads, with or without anonymity are at least a bit shady. even things as registering a car that is not yours is not legal.
and the unwillingness to talk or mention something about the supercriminal cb to an official institution like the police in any country, of even to the mccann not that pro version teams of detectives, or asking for a fair share of the pot out there and very well promoted in every press or media in every country of at least europe.
they can hardly tell they never heard of this case at all. and all of them pretend to be a friend of the german perp, the way we are told about him classifies not to call it the german suspect.
between the lines they gave cb quite an alibi for having nasty video's of course, to bring in his superior and outstanding burglar capacity it would be simple for his legal team to tell cb just stole beside passports most of those movies.
and how does cp know what was on the disks, was that because he take a look at the things, or had they nice casings with tittles on them and a nice shining picture.
in the helge b. musings it was told they found a video on a video camera.
cp talks in der spiegel about cd's, not all cd's play easily on all kind of devices, you need for the more commercial ones a cd player for tv, or special software to play it on a pc screen. in those days these movies on cd did not work by just putting then into the disk reader of a common computer.
i remember a online seller of interesting video's, but he sold a lot of boxes, with empty cd's, and just copied the title sheets, and stickers for the discs on his color printer device. only two out of hundreds dared to tell it to the police. because the seller had a very accurate list made of his buyers, it lead to a lot of embarrassing moments when we had to call them. normally those cases have not any priority, but the seller became eager and was selling also populair titles so the copyright watchdog made complaints.
but it is nice to know that some video's in the uk press can mean 100 pieces, as was told to der spiegel.
so this rehashed to an exclusive already known story is just stupid. all is usable to keep printing the story alive. also it means the mirror does not take the words of scotland yard that serious, they have been told there is no evidence against cb, but the mirror has a different opinion as it likes.

at verdi,
don't you think we can not use grapevines in this case, is it not far better to use a olive branch instead?
or maybe a olive drip?

Re: Christian Brueckner: To be or not to be
Never mind the Metropolitan Police, I don't think the Portuguese police have paid much attention to Germanman and his antics past and present.
If I where the parent of a missing three year old child, I would object very strongly to the nonsense published by the tabloids on a regular basis. All quiet on the western front - makes you wonder doesn't it?
Team McCann were happy to pursue the Express Group through a court of law, accepting an out of court settlement in preference to an appearance before the beak.
Why are they now allowing continuation of misinformation published by the media?
Unless it's to their advantage ....
