Any chance you can give more detail like who when why and where? It might make it more meaningful.

As it stands, it doesn't look like the usual FOI request/response formatting and/or procedure.
Is it possible to screen-shot or link to the entire original documentation? Leaving out your personal detail of course.

Freedom of Information Request Reference No: 01/FOI/19/002112
I write in connection with your request for information which was received by the
Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) on 20th of April 2019. I apologise for the delay in
responding to your request and any inconvenience caused. I note that you seek
access to the following information:
YOUR REQUEST
“1. I am looking to ascertain what happened to dna data and other forensic samples
when the Forensic Science Service was closed in 2012. I understand many physical
samples were destroyed 30 days after being tested - did the FSS retain digital copies
of samples/data, and if so where are these databases now?
2. Does Operation Grange have access to the FSS digital data on tests performed in
2007, and if not, who holds this data?”
SEARCHES TO LOCATE INFORMATION
To locate the information relevant to your request searches were conducted within
the MPS. The searches located information relevant to your request.
DECISION
In response to:
“1. I am looking to ascertain what happened to dna data and other forensic samples
when the Forensic Science Service was closed in 2012. I understand many physical
samples were destroyed 30 days after being tested - did the FSS retain digital copies
of samples/data, and if so where are these databases now?”
Please direct this question to the Home Office as the FSS were a GovCo Agency of
the Home Office and only they will be able to provide that information.
In response to:
“2. Does Operation Grange have access to the FSS digital data on tests performed
in 2007, and if not, who holds this data?”
Operation Grange do have access to the FSS digital data on tests performed in
2007.

You must forgive my meticulous attention to detail.
Without the complete document it loses context and is open to misinterpretation, or imaginary embellishment.
It's not a trust issue.
