The basic hurdles parents must clear these days to keep the public faith in them include:
Real tears: Deborah clearly had tears in many interviews; Jeremy, no.
Strong emotion: Deborah, yes, Jeremy, no.
Nice house, well kept: yes
Good looking baby: yes
Charming photos and video: yes
Willingness to speak in the media: yes, but then refused to do local media, only national. Made it seem like a desire to be famous might be at play
Willingness to talk to the police: yes, until they stopped. Then they started again, only now police say they are not answering all the questions
Pass the polygraph: Deborah says she failed; Jeremy didn't take one.
Consistent story: Deborah has changed the time frame and now claims she was drunk; Jeremy originally said he checked the kids first and now says he talked to Deborah first
Crime scene has visible signs of abduction: There is only a slightly opened window and left- unlocked door which does not prove an abduction occurred
Parents show responsible behavior: Deborah now states it is okay for her to be drunk while caring for the children
Suspicious strangers have been lurking around: So far there has only been a homeless handyman who is said to have been cleared
Police not focusing on parents: The police are clearly heavily focusing on the parents
Not lawyering up: They now have Joran van der Sloot's lawyer which may be smart but makes the them look like they need a strong defense.
Not having things about the case that make you go "hmmm:" Deborah has stated that her children heard some strange noises but she has never asked them about what they heard and when because she doesn't want to upset them. Another thing that has bugged me is that Deborah has called her child "Baby Lisa" in television interviews; this is a name given by the media to identify the story and not something a mother usually calls her own child. Then, the "drunk/blackout" story came out after the parents got a lawyer and one wonders if this is a defense strategy for court or a way to excuse Deborah from answering any more police questions about what happened that night. Finally, Deborah changing the time she last saw her daughter (put her to bed) seems like a way to take emphasis off the later time, a time that her sons may have heard something and that Mom doesn't want to acknowledge. Oh, and Deborah also said she thought she would be arrested which is very odd unless she is aware there is more evidence implicating her than we know.

It's like a lot of these checkpoints are straight from t he McCann model on how to keep public faith , and money , rolling in.

As if Shannon Matthews case wasn't bad enough, we now have Baby Lisa. It's time the McCanns fessed up to their crimes to prevent more children being victims of copycat faked abductions.

The phrase "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" comes to mind here.

Lisa's case is eerily and spookily similar to the mccanns.

As the story unfolds it does not bode well for Lisa. I think its another fishy case of faked abduction.
One or both her parents were involved in her disappearance, likely she dead from an accident caused by Deborah in Jeremy's absent and they colluded in the cover up.

It speaks volumes doesn't it that the McCanns have made no public comments on this case? No sending of good wishes and hopes that the baby will be found safe. I guess that they know that, in such circumstances, the chances of the parents not being involved are exremely remote.

Well Happychick, apparently her lawyer has said she is working on a response to this news. Maybe she is on the phone to the McCann's as we speak.

I just hope the FBI checked if anyone has ever died in that house before they sent the dogs in.

Surely according to the McCanns this is all well within the bounds of responsible parenting?

Given they have so far followed the McCann model for what to do and how to act, we should expect explanations for cadaver odour such as:

I was eating sea bass in bed and some dropped on the floor
I had dirty nappies next to the bed
I had contact with 6 cadavers in the last few weeks during the course of my day
I don't know why the dog reacted - ask the dogs (insert interviewers name)

Won't it be marvellous when this gets to court and the evidence of the cadaver dog is admitted? These people aren't well connected, like Caylee, this will come out.
I wonder when Lisa was last seen by independent witnesses.

They don't have the same clone and connection as the mccanns so couldnt ban the papers from reporting the dogs findings which bear hugh implication. The irony is they'd consented to the Police bringing in those dogs, unlike the mccanns where the PJ spring the dogs on them by surprise.

I am left wondering whether Lisa's parents know about cadaver trained dogs or the implication of it or is it a fact that refusing to allow it would implicate guilt anyway so they'd no choice but to consent.

Is Jeremy going to mimic gerry and say ........"ask the dogs" when posed the question what he thought about the dogs markings? They sure cant come up with the 6 corpses contact excuse kate came up with.

Lisa's case is going to be cracked with or without the body evidence sooner than later now that the police can piece together circumstantial evidence with dogs markings. Let's face it Lisa's parents are getting more and more nervous...and they haven't got heavy weight supporters or politicians behind them nor an influential x-government mouthpiece to spin for them.

Like Tigger, I wonder when the baby was last seen by anyone else. I thought it was odd to read a quote from the mother that she did not want her sons to be interviewed. They are old enough to be able to provide useful information on that point.

I suspect their lawyers have instructed them not to.
They got seriously bitten last time, when the dog 'evidence' was subsequently shown to have been absolutely correct.

Madeleine’s Parents Support the Family of the Missing Children in Córdoba


The
parents of the missing girl Madeleine McCann, Kate and Gerry have
wanted to show their solidarity with the family of the two missing
children in Córdoba and have said that they are “in all heart” with them
and hope that they will be found “safe and sound”.

“We have
heard about this case but we do not know the details of what happened.
We are in all heart with the parents and hope that they will soon be
found safe and sound; we know from experience how hard it is when a
child is abducted and we always feel with all our hearts for the parents
whose children have also been kidnapped”, said Gerry McCann.

Madeleine’s
father made these statements during a press conference in Madrid where
they presented a book entitled “Madeleine” in which the girl’s mother
reconstructs the facts since the disappearance of her daughter on 3rd
May 2007.

“When Madeleine disappeared at the beginning it was
suggested to us that we should meet with other parents whose children
had been abducted. This seemed a totally crazy idea to us because we
thought that we were going to find our daughter straight away. We could
not imagine that four and a half years later we would still be searching
for her and now we know this feeling of other parents and we feel with
all our hearts for them”, added Gerry.

On the 10th October the
siblings Ruth (aged six) and José (aged two) disappeared from a park in
Córdoba. Since then National Police officers have been investigating the
whereabouts of the children whose father was arrested on Tuesday in the
face of indications of a possible crime of homicide.

Read elsewhere that José Bretón, the father of the missing children, was placed under preventive arrest without bail by the instruction judge after the reconstruction of the events, and he is now officially an arguido.

This crime broke news while mccanns were doing their bewk promotion in SPAIN and now that the 'father' of the missing children is charged with homicide and simulation of crime (faked abduction) I wonder whether the mccanns are still going to continue to support this "poor man" whose children he claimed was taken from him at the park within a very "tiny window of opportunity".

The funny thing is no witness had seen the children with him at the park, neither did CCTV capture those children as being with him in the park.
Sounds familiar isn't it? Oh dear, the mccanns had put their foot in it again and you can bet your bottom dollar the mccanns will drop their support for this family like a proverbial ton of bricks, and they wont ever be mentioned again from the mccanns' mouth.

Statistics don't lie and one would have thought the mccanns of all people should have known better; but NO they simply could not RESIST using the golden opportunity to express support for the "poor family" hoping to highlight attention to their own plight...hmmm I mean their bewk promotion --- and, OH BOY, what an irony, the father of the missing children turns out to be the Perpetrator and not victim of those two missing children.

It's a surprise to me the mccanns hadnt jumped onto the bandwagon of Lisa's case. Just imagine the eerie coincidence - no abduction and cadaver detested in Lisa's b/room and her parents ever changing testimonies.....sounds familiar?

Are they saying someone had died in their house 28 years ago or what are they saying? Surely the Police can verify that, not that that's the point b/c cadaver was detested in Lisa's room.

They are not going to evade or fool the law enforcers for much longer ......

Cadaver dog alerts to scent of dead body in home of Baby Lisa Irwin (video)

Kansas City, Mo. - An affidavit released Friday indicates an FBI cadaver dog alerted to the scent of a dead human this week inside the home of missing 11-month-old Lisa Irwin.

The alert was one of the reasons authorities decided to re-search the Irwin family home on Wednesday and Thursday, reportedly utilizing bomb squad X-ray equipment.

The legal document indicates the cadaver dog smelled the scent of a dead body Baby Lisa's mother's bedroom.


The affidavit reads in part, “On Oct. 17, 2011, an FBI cadaver dog was brought into the residence upon consent of Irwin and Bradley. The cadaver dog indicated a positive 'hit' for the scent of a deceased human in an area of the floor of Bradley's bedroom near the bed.”

The suppossed witness sightings of Baby Lisa's abductor are ludicrous. The first one reported, by neighbours down the road at around midnight might be believable but the other one? Waling around for almost 4 hours with a near-naked abducted baby when the "abductor" would have no way of knowing at what time the alarm would be raised?! It is farsical. Especially in the US, where nobody walks, they drive.
