Yes, it would have continued the faux-opposition.

They have had it to easy with there cohorts Nulabour
You may be correct, but I cannot imagine Jeremy Corbyn ever being elected as Prime Minister.
I think the Tory's will treat him quite gently, as Labour did with young Hague & also Duncan-Smith & Howard, knowing that his leadership almost guarantees them victory at the next election.
My own hope is that he gets properly stuck in for 2-3years & shakes up Westmonster, then resigns to let some one more electable lead Labour into the next election.

As long as that electable person has similar beliefs and not another media trained suit.
Will be interesting to see what Murdoch does if enough people come back to Labour?

Slick politicians and media people think it's a problem that Jeremy is not slick.
I think it's one of his assets.

Jez Corbyn labour leader
He's too tidy and he doesn't wear that type of hat, might attire himself in one of Michael's jackets he used to wear though!

So do I. He looked great in what he had on today in parliament - much smarter than the other cardboard cutouts.BlueBag wrote:Slick politicians and media people think it's a problem that Jeremy is not slick.

The words are a bit blurry....
"The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist group called Al Qaeda. And any informed intelligence officer knows this. But there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an identified entity representing the devil only in order to drive the TV watcher to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The country behind this propaganda is the US."

Yes, Robin Cook another boat-rocker.
The MSM went for him too.

He is going to get a lot of this - people trying to discredit him at every word he utters. You can bet, when it comes down to it, he will not go along with staying in the EU, particularly as it is at the moment. He can`t cause too much of a rebellion right at the off, hence seeming to give in to kissing `er majesty. There are ways of getting round these things.BlueBag wrote:Why are you so worried about him?jozi wrote:His first major u-turn. What will he sell out on next?

Tony Benn was an opponent of the EU... Corbyn is from the same mold.Richard IV wrote:He is going to get a lot of this - people trying to discredit him at every word he utters. As for the kissing of the Queens hand, Tony Benn when faced with this nonsense, used to place his thumb over her hand and kiss that instead.
He has hinted that he won't be part of the privy council.
WHY THE HELL DOES A SUPPOSED POWERLESS QUEEN NEED A PRIVY COUNCIL?

The guy thinks he's Robin Hood.

It`s funny how the MSM forget all the crimes committed by the hardline righties.
They`re just doing their usual stunt of scrapping the barrel to find bits of dirt on the man, even trying to tarnish him by saying he had an affair with Diane Abbott, which was common knowledge anyway. Ah well, I`m sure Jeremy Corbyn is expecting this sort of stuff, but luckily doesn`t care.

Re: Jez Corbyn - The 'NEW HOPE' for Britain?
I'm hoping he's going to represent and speak for ordinary working people while he's leader of the Labour party, unlike his predecessors from central casting.
