I would just like to acknowledge all the hard and time consuming work Anne has put to translating all the witness evidence. I hope people here would like to thank her too, without her transcripts we would be almost totally in the dark........ so a big thank you to Ann Guedes clapping

The way she sussed them out, asking whether their testimonies would by any chance be influenced by their family ties, for one.

Also the small details as mentioned by Portia - the "sighs" intrigued me no end. Its all too much hard work for MW isn't it! As if the Judge should not be asking him questions, again. Indeed!

I would like to say a bit thank you to Anne also for her dedication to detail and giving us all the facts of what went on in the court room. Without her we would still be in the dark with our spineless UK journalists terrified of printing anything which hasn't been approved by the McCanns.

Before I retired I spent many years as part of my job taking minutes of meetings and notes on industrial tribunals, having to transcribe the notes word for word accurately, sometimes at home into the early hours of the morning and I never got any extra thanks for doing it. It is exhausting work when you spend hours and hours trying to transcribe your own scribbled shorthand or longhand and it completely drains you. It was something that had to be done so I did it, I didn't have time in the office as there were too many distractions and other things that had to be done.

So I can really sympathise with Anne with everyone on her back asking "where are the transcriptions of the court hearings"?

Please be patient with her. smilie

I'm glad of this thread (thank you candyfloss) to be able to say what I had been thinking since you started informing us of the 'inside court' shenanigans. It is very hard work to make and deliver notes, and be a translator to boot.
You are doing it for free (a concept inconceivable in the McC team world) and you are so quietly amusing with your 'asides /comments' that it's almost as if we were also able to be there.
Certainly, this moment, after 6 years of anguish and disappointment in trying to secure 'justice and respect for Madeleine', seems to suggest a possible buoyancy, and without you, we'd not know any of this from MSM which has shown itself now to be completely defunct.
They (the MSMs) have so betrayed any vestige of integrity they might just as well all shut up shop and go out and find a proper job, like twiddling their thumbs in private or drumming their fingers on the desk they used to work at.
Thank you Anne for doing what other people are supposed to be paid for doing. roses
