Yes, her work has been invaluable.

I`m hoping she`ll be back at the Courthouse in a few weeks.

Mind you, she is only one of many others who have put masses of time and effort into monitoring this case.

Above and summing up, due to the Citius clogging delay chaos that I had explained before somewhere (I'll get the link), the Public Ministry has decided that only the trials of the crimes that are punishable with jail sentences up to 5 years are going to be given priority, specially those that are considered urgent, where the suspect is detained or the cases where institutionalized minors are involved. I don't know if the McCanns vs. Amaral trial will be in this batch of processes but I have my doubts, so, it might take much longer than expected. About 3, 5 million processes are stalled.

The court case has gone quiet for so long now. Is there a confirmed date for its conclusion?

No - Moderator

the lack of transparency in the process is very frustrating.

There are many many valid criticisms of the way the Portuguese justice system has handled this case, starting with allowing the McCanns to apply ex parte (without telling Amaral and his lawyers) in September 2007 for an injunction stopping the book. Which was granted, also without Amaral and his lawyers being present.

Then a draconian order was imposed by the court which forced Amaral and his publishers to collect up all unsold books and deliver them to the McCanns. Interminable delays since then have been the main problem; the case has run 5 years and 5 months already.

Welcome to the forum by the way - Moderator

Blood and cadaver alerts
dismissed by UK Government

Retired DCI Gonçalo Amaral: "The English can always present the conclusions to which they themselves arrived in 2007. Because they know, they have the evidence of what happened - they don't need to investigate anything. All this is now a mere 'show off'."

Retired murder DCI Colin Sutton: "I would also like to make the point that Operation Grange was so restricted from the start as to be destined to fail."

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley made public on national TV that Operation Grange is a complete fraud.

Ex-DCI Andy Redwood had a "revelation moment" on BBC's Crimewatch on 14th October 2013 when he announced that Operation Grange had eliminated the Tanner sighting - which opened up the 'window of opportunity', in accordance with their remit, to allow the fake abduction to happen.

Despite "irrelevant behaviour" from blood and cadaver dogs in the McCann's apartment, on Kate McCann's clothes, and in the car they hired three weeks after Maddie disappeared, Ex-Chief Inspector, Ian Horrocks, said: "The thought that Kate and Gerry McCann had anything to do with the death of their daughter is frankly preposterous."

Gerry McCann called for example to be made of 'trolls'. SKY News reporter Martin Brunt doorstepped Brenda Leyland on 2 October 2014. She was then found dead in a Leicester hotel room. Brenda paid the price. She paid with her life.

Ex-Deputy Chief Constable, Jim Gamble QPM, congratulated SKY reporter, Martin Brunt, on twitter for doorstepping Brenda Leyland on behalf of Gerry McCann.
