For comparison here's a commercial of a kid with an ice cream if anyone is interested.

Relative to the last photograph thread discussion but slightly off-topic so I've dragged it over here.  This post was made by ROSA at the beginning of this thread..

Quote:   The photo is one of the balconys at the Solimar Apartment that is what they look like
im looking at the background wall and chair colour the photo of M is a close up the colour and prob texture of the wall is very simalar
i think this might be the real last photo of M and there is a possibitie that it was taken at the Solimar Apartment the photo gives me the chills and its not the make up .

----------

How ROSA knows this I haven't a clue so can't vouch for it.  Until such times as the shot is entirely ruled out by conclusive evidence I will reserve further comment.  This excerpt from an old article is interesting - researched I believe by forum member 'tigger'.  The article is a bit lenghty and rather picturesque but well worth the read as it features all the old favourite scenes and players.

Vanity Fair - 10th January 2008

Unanswered Prayers by Judy Bachrach

It is part of the odd dynamic of this story that when I phone Sally Eveleigh, Murat’s cousin, who also lives in Praia da Luz, her first remark is that she cannot utter a syllable about Murat without the O.K. of her British press agent, the famously rambunctious Max Clifford. And when his blessing is secured, her second is: “Wonderful, darling, see you shortly. Robert can’t talk to you, because he’s an arguido. But we’ll have a bit of a party, won’t we?”

When I arrive at her massive house, lined with rosy tile and Moroccan rugs, Sally greets me in floor-length blue voile trimmed with pretty stones. And the party includes Murat: five feet 10 inches, dark-haired, wearing beige trousers, serving us tea, wine, and cigarettes.

“All I can say,” says Murat, “is that I am innocent. There is no way I was at the resort that night. Full stop. I was in my mother’s kitchen until one a.m. Yes, we are a kitchen kind of family. I spent the night at the house.” As an arguido he cannot reveal more. But he does drive me around and point out the major landmarks of the case. “That’s the apartment from which Madeleine vanished,” he says. “That’s my mother’s villa.” The police ransacked the place four months ago and came up with nothing.

I'll leave you to ponder.

@Verdi, actually the PJ visited the Sol e Mar apartments in Burgau and took photos, both in and out - it is in the files (I have posted this before on the Sally Eveleigh/Burgau thread):

http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/P9/09_VOLUME_IXa_Page_2383.jpg  (all pages through to page 2395)

The real Sol e Mar is a bit of a drab block built building with white doors, windows and columns. Not a blue railing or chair in sight.

I think that can be taken as conclusive, and I think the other photo should be put away unless it can be proven it has any relevance to the case at all.

Sorry can't post photos but someone might like to oblige.

It's been pointed out in the past (perhaps you missed it) that the photographs included in the PJ files are of the front elevation of the Aparthotel, clearly showing external coridoors servicing entrance doors.  To my knowledge there are no photograhs of the back elevation where I would expect a balcony to be situated - if indeed there was/is a balcony.

Burgau features heavily in this saga, particularly in connection with Robert Murat, I therefore do not plan to readily dismiss anything that might be relevant - that includes the photograph of the balcony said to be of the type to be found at Aparthotel Sol e Mar.

@Verdi - just so that this is absolutely clear for anyone reading this thread, the Sole e Mar apartment in Burgau which was forensically examined and photographed is the one at (in the pj files middle column/about half way down; starts at page 2383; several photos of the outside included):

http://www.mccannpjfiles.co.uk/PJ/PROCESSO_9a.htm

If anyone can find me a photo showing any blue balconies on any side of this building I will be happy to accept them BUT as it stands there is clear, factual, police evidence showing the building looking entirely different to the photo with the blue chairs. Three sides are shown in the photos - would the fourth unseen side have a different wall finish; different window colour/door/balcony colour? Wouldn't it be more prudent to accept the PJ File appearance of the building until a photo is produced actually showing a blue balcony attached to the Sol e Mar?

I'm not sure what the problem is - the photo could have been taken anywhere in the area. It's location is probably never going to be known.

why the heck did the McCanns ever release it?

Maybe to continue putting pressure on someone, to extort?

Everytime the funds slow down, the Mccanns turn up the heat.

Not too much, they are above a fire too: being framed for murder.

Either way neither side  can come clean with the whole truth, just hint at parts of it(real or fabricated) which are enough to make the other side hopefully fall in line.

Perhaps this picture(considered inappropriate by most observers) is all too familiar to some parties. The basis on which the original agreement was made.

Remeber the Mccann Pr machinery feeding the press the notion she was abducted after being selected on the basis of pictures taken and send back for approval.

These 'releases' and theories tangentially touch upon the truth of the matter, enough to upset people in certain circles.

These ofcourse set off counter moves incriminating evidence against the parents...

They were having financial difficulties some suggest and they werent there to enjoy themselves said GM.

Perhaps the trip was put together by a friend to introduce them to new circles and consummate a deal. But disaster struck. Bringing in high level professional cleaners and fixers. The Mccanns given every possible support. Frantic telephones and urgent flights to Portugal. But then the body being removed without KM knowing leading to her exclamation: They have taken her! The Fund acting as a pay off.

The Mccanns suddenly finding themselves at the center of attention, money coming in,thinking themselves untouchable. Even given the chance to privately say goodbye to their daughter's cremated remains.
No body,no proof of any wrongdoing right? Gaspar statement notwithstanding...

But these people they are dealing with are not idiots: imagine the Mccanns shock when the dog results came in: an alternative fallback scenario is unfolding before their eyes. And now it is kinda like a Mexican standoff...

Just a theory and general impression, not real

This post is more relevant now Totman is stated to be Tannerman.
