If you take a look at the Missing People website and its scrolling banner at the bottom of the home page which lists its partners and funders you'll see this new one
The Masonic Charitable Foundation is a major new charity, due to launch in April 2016
The Foundation will take over the work of the four central Masonic Charities, providing a wide range of grants to Freemasons and their families who have a financial, health and care or family need.
The Foundation will also award grants to other charities, medical research studies and disaster relief appeals.
Funded entirely through the generous donations of the Masonic community, the Foundation will have an annual charitable expenditure which places it amongst the largest charities in the country.
The Foundation will be financially strong, well-resourced and able to respond more effectively to the changing needs of Masonic families and other charitable organisations.

Re: Missing People launch proposed charity single on 9th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance
What a Golden opportunity has been missed by their Ambassador not appearing on tv or radio to highlight this single. Still time though.
Will any of this money be given to the Fund, the Fund which can help Maddie's family?
I will not support this charity as I can't seem to find out too much about it other than what aquila has been posting on this forum.
ETA - we know that Katie Hopkins would welcome Mrs. on to her show. Many very rich people in London she could reach out to if she went on to advertise the single.

Re: Missing People launch proposed charity single on 9th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance
I can only suggest people read the Missing People website in full (I've done it and it takes hours and hours). Read it and understand the juggernaut that is this charity with its claws piercing government, media and the EU set up. Read it all, spend hours reading it to understand how toxic the whole thing is - and now it's being funded by a masonic uber charity.plebgate wrote:What a Golden opportunity has been missed by their Ambassador not appearing on tv or radio to highlight this single. Re: Missing People launch proposed charity single on 9th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance
It never makes sense to me why you would donate to one charity who in turn gives it to other charity/ies . If I wanted my money to be branched off into other charities I would donate to those in the first instance. Going by their accounts, Missing People spend the majority of their money on salaries. I worked out that MP staff (not volunteers) on average are paid over £30k p.a. As much as I sympathise with families of their missing loved ones, this is one organisation that I will not donate to so that it can pay over inflated salaries. It seems to me that charity is a multi million business these days.

Thank you Plebgate. It makes you wonder if it is all 'you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours' with money being handed back and forth between charities.

Bit like the government - take your money and then do exactly what they like with it.melisande wrote:It never makes sense to me why you would donate to one charity who in turn gives it to other charity/ies . Updates
3 May, 2016 - Anniversary Update
As yet another anniversary comes around, we'd like to thank all our supporters for your continued help and commitment in the search for Madeleine, and the hope for her safe return. It has been a very long time but the investigation continues, information is still forthcoming and our hope and resolve continue. Until we have answers, until there is news (real news!), there will always be hope and we will continue to do everything we can to help find Madeleine.
The charity 'Missing People' is releasing the single, 'I hope’ on the 20th of May ahead of International Missing Children’s Day. Please support the charity to help all missing children and their families by downloading the song. "Real news"?
Perhaps they don't believe the reports in the media either?
So not a 'credible theory' then!?!?

Seems a bit like money laundering to me. I wonder if both "charities" can claim the gift aid on both donations ?melisande wrote:It never makes sense to me why you would donate to one charity who in turn gives it to other charity/ies . Remember Children in Need ( it was reported) had over 90M in their account?
How does that help THE Children in Need?

Re: Missing People launch proposed charity single on 9th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance
It's still going on . This was an article from late last year.
Holding 94 million yet every year pleading for more and more money.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/bbc/11992247/Children-in-Need-investment-holdings-rise-to-94-million.html
And this is another eye opening article from 2013 re Red Nose Day, Save the Children etc.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2521057/BBC-Panorama-expose-reveals-Comic-Relief-sitting-100m-say-money-spent.html
It's very lucrative, the charity business . :-(

Yes, but we don't have a choice in the Government getting our money they think it's their god given right to take our hard earned money from us anyway.Verdi wrote:Bit like the government - take your money and then do exactly what they like with it.melisande wrote:It never makes sense to me why you would donate to one charity who in turn gives it to other charity/ies . With giving to a charity we have the choice to give or not.

That's why , transparency ( to use a favourite word of the ruling elite ) is so important, but often so sadly lacking. Many donate to charity in the innocent belief that they are helping a good cause, completely unaware that they are supporting a nice little earner for many interested parties.

Re: Missing People launch proposed charity single on 9th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance
In relatively recent times, the whole business of charity funding has become a complete travesty. They don't just rely on the goodwill of citizens anymore - they're out there with the begging bowl at every corner.Cmaryholmes wrote:That's why , transparency ( to use a favourite word of the ruling elite ) is so important, but often so sadly lacking. 'Thank you for your kind donation - you might like to consider leaving this charity a legacy when you die. In the hope of a favourable consideration we enclose a form duly completed and ready for you to sign - just add the amount. We will contact you again in a few days to remind you.'
How many times have you seen something to that effect, even if you haven't donated to a cause? Add to that the celebrity cult who like to be seen to be championing a cause or three - as if they can't afford it?

Remember all the millionaires on stage for Live Aid ? I am not suggesting that no good at all came of this, but it is just one example of celebs holding out the begging bowl so little old ladies will feel morally obliged to give. What could be a better cause, on the surface, than finding missing loved ones ?

That's why i don't donate to charities because i know the people the funds are meant to be helping with the money rarely goes to them, and if it does only a small portion of it. Most of the funds collected goes to the people running the charities.Cmaryholmes wrote:That's why , transparency ( to use a favourite word of the ruling elite ) is so important, but often so sadly lacking. Not just little old ladies unfortunately, it is all designed to pull at our heart strings.Cmaryholmes wrote:Remember all the millionaires on stage for Live Aid ? I have long since given up donating to 'worthy charities' after many many years as they still 'target' you ... Appeals, door knocking, letters etc to donate on a monthly basis!
In the words of my dear Mother "charity begins at home" & how true is that!
Just a thought, why didn't the MCCanns team up with " missing people' from the start? Why the 'personal' fund, why not link in so all donations went to that particular charity for them to participate in the 'search' oh that's right they pay extortionate salaries to offer counsel & support mainly?!
Is that a remit?
Oops think I've answered my own question!?

Re: Missing People launch proposed charity single on 9th anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance
You only have to walk down your high street to see how booming the charity business is. I was in my local co-op yesterday and there was a bloke with a big charity stand INSIDE the shop stopping people, including myself, and requesting they give their bank details etc for a new lottery being set up in the name of the charity. I usually say no and walk on when I am walking down a high street but I actually felt intimidated yesterday . So much so that I intend to make a complaint to the shop.

Wow that's not right, and isn't that illegal to request/stop people for bank details in a store where people shop, or anywhere else in public for that matter? If not it should be. I would be complaining too. Sounds like public harrassment to me.melisande wrote:You only have to walk down your high street to see how booming the charity business is.
