So the Labour party now has Tom and Jerry running it, on the basis of a (Groucho) Marxist agenda ?
Re: Jez Corbyn - The 'NEW HOPE' for Britain?
At least we will have some actual ideological opposition in Parliament and perhaps some real questions that make the Government uncomfortable.
As opposed to the pathetic Tory-lite opposition we've had since Tony Blair.

For Paulo Sargento, the thesis that Gonçalo Amaral revealed at first hand to "SP" that the blanket could have been used in a funeral ceremony at the Luz chapel "is very interesting".
And he adds: "In reality, when the McCanns went to Oprah's Show, the blanket was mentioned. At a given moment, when Oprah tells Kate that she heard her mention a blanket several times, Kate argued that a mother who misses a child always wants to know if she is comfortable, if she is warm, and added, referring to Maddie, that sometimes she asked herself if the person who had taken her would cover her up with her little blanket (but the blanket was on the bed after Maddie, supposedly, disappeared!!!).

Has Corbyn ever expressed a view on the Madeleine McCann case? Would he think £10 million and rising is value for money for looking for a middle class child...? I'm no fan of his but think that even he could think of a better way of spending that money.

The Daily Fail today is full of how Corbyn is going to take us back to the 'seventies.' Nothing about how Cameron is taking us back to the twenties ........................where the rich were rich and the poor were ever poorer . Even a hard working man today needs tax credits and numerous other government interventions just to survive. Why should the taxpayer subsidise big business? Yes I know that sounds like a current Tory soundbite( which I'm suspicious of by the way................I think they intend to deal with only one end of the equation ) but paying a working man a decent wage that enables him to keep his own family without government help is surely a Socialist aim too. Just goes to show that the last Labour government were not Socialists at all since all this tax/ family credit prop up nonsense was their big contribution. Corbyn at least IS a socialist and not a pretend one like many of the 'New Labour ' party.

I suppose it depends on whether he had a vested interest in certain matters not being revealed.woodpecker wrote:Has Corbyn ever expressed a view on the Madeleine McCann case? One thing that can be very much said for Jeremy Corbyn - amongst all the many good and bad things that can and will be said about him...
...is that history has surely proved him dead right on this issue at least:

Jeremy Corbyn new labour leader
Hi Petermac, Ref; Tom and Jerry running the labour party.
We have Dodgy Dave as the owner of Thomas!!!
The Feral cats will be let loose out of the Conservative party HQ to demonize Jeremy Corbyn, dredging the depths of the gunge tank to discredit the new Labour Leader, anyone remember "Devils eyes" TB, were they right?
Michael (five in a bed) Gove already stating Jeremy Corbyn a threat to the country's safety and he hasn't stepped foot into Parliament as the Leader of the opposition yet?

Corbyn is a Socialist who professes an admiration for Karl Marx. He's also a Republican . He's apparently a Euro sceptic too but who knows? All no doubt will be revealed in the course of time.

I find it all rather ironic after the number of times Ukip were accused of wanting to turn the clock back.
Anyway, I can't see it lasting. The stress looks to have already set in. After so many moderate Labour MPs a little miffed. He'll have the mother of all jobs holding the party together.

Tom Watson is the new deputy leader of the labour party…….the same Tom Watson who campaigned tirelessly to expose sexual abuse of those in positions of power and authority. Do you think he will continue to pursue these people with the same vigor, now that he is deputy leader?

Jez Corbyn labour leader
Hi Mr Noodles,
It looks as Tristram and cohorts have spat their dummies out, typical hypocrites, stating holding the party together to fight for Labour's cause?
Just shows you of what their beliefs actually were, a Westminster bubble of protection of themselves and not having the bottle to fight for the Labour party leader against the Conservative Government, note how not one of them has chosen to resign from their seat in the House of Parliament though, Ker Ching, turkeys vote for Xmas?
Isn't that what all politicians quote to the electorate, if you're unhappy in your situation, "you can always leave" but not them with their perks of the job?

I think his election is just what British politics needs, a kick up the backside. I doubt he'll be PM, but it's going to be an interesting few years.BlueBag wrote:It's like a breath of fresh air.

We need a voice in Parliament for ordinary people.
Tony Benn (inspite of his upbringing) was the best PM we never had.
The elite don't like boat-rockers and will not give JC a fair chance.. it's already started.

Yes. The plotting within the Labour Party has, no doubt, begun too.
Radio 5 Live broadcast a special programme on his election this morning, well-balanced, and callers were overwhelmingly supportive of him.
I hope he wants the UK out of the EU.
