VIDEOS WHOOSHED

OK. I did the www.ssyoutube . . . . thing and it downloaded perfectly.
Can I now upload it onto the site, so that all an share, independent of its being whooshed.

I did the same thing too. It downloaded, BUT then it couldn't found anywhere on my computer. Maybe because I work iMac exclusively????

I also loved in that video the close forensic examination of the shutter, unjemmied, unbroken etc and very clear evidence of an extremely diligent police force carrying out their investigations properly!

But oh dear Aunty Phil gets me everytime...still can't believe that she is actually a teacher, she comes across, almost like an uneducated yob in most of her interviews..(and who could every forget her "lassie" comments)

And is this video, which I've listened to over and over, it sounds like Kate says "And that's when I saw that Madeleine was there"

At around 1.02 she quite definitely states that Madeleine "was there".

The link that Cristobell put up is very interesting. I had not seen it before, so thank's for that.

Particularly interesting, for me, is the part from approximately 1miin 17 sec to 1 min 38 sec. As I am someone who is new to this, I was wondering how a person, as remotely connected to this situation as Philomena seemed to be, could be under some people's radar from the very start. Now, I think I can see why.

One interesting point, and there are many, is that she is already telling people  what they should be doing. A McCann trait, if ever there was one.

I noticed the difference, in where gerry's attnention is focussed, pre kate saying, "Maddie was gone" and where he focusses his attention, after kate's, possibly, freudian slip.

So, what does "gone" mean in the medical profession?

At 1.11, kate seem's to have exhausted all of her idea's and look's to gerry for support. She seem's to believe that gerry has all of the answer's.

I'm sorry kate, but I do not believe that he has. He could be seriously flawed. There is a real risk that you could be playing mairead, to gerry's mick phillpott.

It would be great to add the body language and cues to the transcript below which JeanMonroe found and posted on MM. Must say that Gerry definitely jumps in fast when Kate is asked about leaving the twins behind. Kate definitely says 'Madeleine was there.'

Then we have that very weird medical training they've both had:

Gerry says that in medical school you're taught to call for help - surely not if you ARE the help?
Kate says in her book that thanks to her medical training she whizzed round the apartment to see if Maddie was hiding anywhere.
Gerry says he saw Maddie lying on the bed in the recovery position (iirc friends or press remarked that only a doctor could say that)
Kate finds no problem in announcing that she's been in close contact with six corpses wearing her holiday clothes and taking cuddlecat with her.
In the book there is an anecdote where a family member is having a heart attack. Kate is pregnant and worries about having to give hands-on help.
Gerry goes off to phone the emergency services, Maddie allegedly goes over to the stricken man and tries listen to his heart with her toy stethoscope (a complete medical trolley for your child  of two at the time, how immensely proud are they of their profession?)

I would think I was very lucky if I had a heart attack with a cardiac consultant at my side. Except when it's G.P. McCann of course.

What??? So one of your relatives is having a heart attack, and both of you as fully qualified doctors (one a heart specialist) do nothing to help and instead let your toddler crawl all over them..If I was in that situation and had the medical knowledge, fair enough I'd call for an ambulance, but I'd be checking their pulse etc, making sure they remained calm and I would be ushering children out of the room, not allowing them to potentially cause harm to my stricken family member!.

I didn't think I could be surprised any more at the actions of the Dr's McCann...I was wrong...

Also glad that I heard that correctly in the video that Kate says "Madeleine was there" For all of their lying, they have an incredible ability to keep slotting the truth in from time to time.

Cardiologists, in general, are gifted and vital people, but they are not much use if they haven't got all the gubbins in the Cath. Lab around them. G and K appear to have less knowledge about how to look after a heart attack patient than the average first aider has. Running around flapping and letting kids play with plastic stethoscopes is not in the manual!

Exactly Penfold, even someone with zero medical knowledge would immediately remove very young children from the room in that situation, not least because it could be very distressing for the child, and of course, potentially very dangerous for the patient...

Of course this could all be more McFairy tales, to A) reinforce that they are doctors and B) that Madeleine was "such a bright child" who has obviously gained medical skills by osmosis from her parents, but as usual, they just come across as weird and abnormal! The Mc's never cease to amaze me...

Hi Joyce, I sometimes think that they just say whatever they need to say for any given situation, but often slip up if they've been pressed on a particular issue. However, they don't seem to take in account what they have previously said and they end up contradicting themselves, no matter though, whilst we in forumland notice all of the faux pas, all of the interviewers, journos etc, just seem to gloss over the inconsistencies and never stop them and say "Wait a minute, you just said that Madeleine was there?" Or "Did you not previously say x and now you're saying y"

I'm just hoping that the press etc are all holding back for the day that they are finally charged and cannot then use "trial by media" as an excuse to wiggle out of it!
