ITV Lorraine Thursday 1 May 2014

Find out what's coming up on Thursday's Lorraine...

Kate and Gerry McCann

HOW did the 'snatchers' get into the family holiday apartment?

Rhetorical!

It's not as though TWO 'doctors' would ever, consciously and diliberately, leave the front and back (patio) doors of their holiday apartment UNLOCKED with their 3 kids, all under 4 years old, in there, is it?

Thus 'creating', by THEIR 'decisions', the sole opportunity for the 'snatcher' to 'snatch'

I wouldn't want either of the McCanns, nor Lorraine Kelly in my room, albeit on the box in the corner.
However I would be interested to know what the viewing figures will be in the morning as opposed to Lorraine's usual ratings.

We might even see 'our' Lorraine wearing a good quality 'Find Madeleine' wristband.

She hasn't ever worn one, during the last 7 YEARS, but know knows, 'our' Kate and Gerry might present her with one, 'live' on the show!

Then she'll never again have an 'excuse' not to wear her 'Find Madeleine' wristband, in total 'support' of the McCanns.

And 'donate/pledge' from tomorrow, 'live' on her show, 1st May 2014, ALL of her next three years 'earnings' to the Madeleine Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned.

A PRIVATE Limited company by guarentee.

Will she/Won't she?

We'll find out tomorrow!

We can also play 'Spot the Clarence'

Behind the sofa?

He's ALWAYS at these 'interviews', just off camera.

To the contrary, Nina, Maman and I would still pay folding money to have them at my kitchen table and ask some pertinent questions  winkwink

If we're having a whip round I'll be more than happy to contribute, Chatelaine, and I have a cellar which I'm more than willing to put at the disposal of you and your dear Maman so that you can conduct your inquiries in a soundproof environment undisturbed.  big grin

I see Kate is again in Z"look how pathetic I am, I am not even wearing make-up" mood.

Lorraine Kelly is a patron of the charity Missing People.

Kate McCann is an ambassador for the charity Missing People.

There is an appeal for donations to the charity Missing People in The Sun today.

Yep. I've recorded it. I was going to write up the salient points for those who don't get ITV but I need another cappuccino to settle my stomach before I can re-watch it.

In talking about their life, pre Madeleine's disappearance, Gerry described it as them having had a tough few years and they were just starting to come through all that. It doesn't exactly paint a picture of a happy family life.

Missed the interrview thought it was at 9.
Why would Gerry voluntarily give that information? It sounds to me almost like an excuse or a defense strategy

They were not on the same page re the latest reports of intruders. Gerry said they were linked to Madeleine iirc but Kate said it was not known that they were linked to each other or to Madeleine, but they needed investigating.

Gerry spoke first and it was a while before Kate seemed to settle and feel that she could contribute.
Same as always, with LK opening with  " I can't believe it's  ...years."

Coming through a pretty tough period did not strike me as strange, I had the impression that as all 3 children had grown a little older and through the ultra-demanding and exhausting stage, the family was on a relaxing break when tragedy struck. He said that they were working and caring for 3 very young children... the situation as described by Gerry came across as having settled when they took a break and then Maddie was abducted.

Kate looked very weary and still very thin, her arms especially. Under great strain .

Gerry as always looks healthier and less stressed, he appeared to be going through the motions.

I got the impression that they were invited and felt they had to go and say something. They both looked as if they would prefer to be elsewhere.

  Let's hope for resolution soon.

It will be repeated again at 9.30 a.m. on ITV +1 (Freeview channel 33).  It will be about 9.35 a.m. (5 mins of ads etc)

I noticed that the word "abduction" took a long time coming out, it was "taken", "taken", taken" until GM mentioned "abduction" just before the end of the interview.

It is on the ITV plus 1 channel at 9.30.

eta  : although I stated that I did not find the mentioning by Gerry of the demands on them of work and 3 under-4s prior to their holiday, having thought about it a little that was taking it at face value,  and I was in hindsight speaking for an average viewer which I am not.

For anyone who suspects that sedation played a part in this holiday, Gerry's words , not taken at face value, lend weight to the theory that one or both of these parents, knowing that children would be excited and unsettled by the change of scene, decided that they needed R and R and that a child / children must for everyone's happiness, sleep soundly and not wake up.

If times had been exhausting and tense and had not long settled, it is reasonable to want that to continue and not revert back to exhaustion which might then continue after you returned home, back to square one ?
