Here is an update from Blacksmith. It seems he has closed his blog but has updated "Tthe Cracked Mirror" to facilitate better searching. i will miss Blacksmith dreadfully, he wrote such good and thought provoking articles

The following comment was posted by Blacksmith on 26 February. Hope the closure of the Bureau is not related (maybe not as he hasn't apologised)

Love Blacksmith
He is bright, love him, but very old school , to think there was NOT any extra marital going on in PLD !!!!.
Either naive or naive !!!!!!. very good source [ in there opinion] told me ages ago that was a given .
Everybody knows PDL is a swingers resort, the kids are used as a front .

And we do not know who else may have been there on that holiday. It is no small thing, and would be a major embarrassment to the Govt/NHS. The trial would have been in another country, where there was little control as to what emerged. ROB is Training Program Manager for General Internal Medicines at the Southwest Peninsula Deanery; they train future doctors and dentists there and are funded by Trusts. I believe he is well involved, probably due to the sedative used? I'm sure the story would have got more and more lurid, the more information that emerged, and the salacious scandal would have rocked the world, especially with all the notoriety Maddie's disappearance had.

I can easily imagine the Home Office/UK government doing everything in its power to stamp out the possibility of these doctors going on trial in a foreign country. I am not saying I firmly believe this is precisely what happened, but I feel it would definitely be no small thing if it were!

Hi, PL. I don't agree, but that's what a forum is for, different opinions and points of view.

One amongst many reasons is that the OC had only just started up under MW. I'm not convinced that taking your children would provide a 'cover' and also there were quite a number of apartments owned by regular holiday makers.
The apartments are far from sound-proof and the general idea that the swinging would have to take place whilst the children were in the creche or looked after by one adult at lunchtime whilst the orgy took place elsewhere - sorry, can't see that sort of farce.
ROB's title sounds very good but imo it's not a stellar position. All to do with naming jobs which came in with Blair. Such as the District operative for environmental disposal issues being what we used to call a dustman.

Morning Tigger, they have swinging holiday destinations all around the world, where hedonistic parents can take their children. That's a fact! They don't take them along for 'cover,' they take them because they are going on a family holiday, and pursuing their hedonistic lifestyle at the same time. Also Exeter is rife with swinging clubs, and there is a strong Exeter connection here. There could be a villa close by in PDL that hosted parties too? Anyway, as I said, I am not convinced either, but I would not rule it out based on it being of little consequence.

I find the sentence above most peculiar. Those with a serious interest in the truth did NOT see the necessity of a review but the necessity of re-opening the case in Portugal, where it can be tried. Which is not the case with the SY review. As for the review by the Portuguese - we appear to know nothing about it and whether this is taking place at all is debatable.

The McCanns have brought this on themselves, it is far from the wishes of those with a serious interest in the truth imo as it actually distracts from the truth. The case is not about the disappearance it's about the alleged libel of the McCanns by Dr. Amaral as I understand it.

As to 'persecuting people with different sexual tastes to their own' I'd like to point out that a number of 'sexual tastes' are of a criminal nature and therefore very relevant to the 'truth'.

Overal I'm getting the impression that Blacksmith is consolidating his 'neutral' position and in the process has lost his sense of humour.
