Good heavens, she's alive! Everyone look for the new 'Madeleine' - I expect this will be a tremendous boost for the Fund.

Is it possible that anyone who has ever been to Portugal has not been interviewed? Even the lost tribes of the Serengeti know who Madeleine is, but seems the Met are now spreading the word and the posters (wonder if they have to pay £2.99 plus p&p) and are SY's finest now wearing good quality wristbands?

I look forward to seeing locktight evidence that the dogs were wrong.

If as Redwood says they were looking for a live madeleine or sadly a dead one and based on the former he has released this picture, then why oh why wait another whole year to do it. Why waste so much time if that was the remit, it is all so totally incomprensible. And why not the appeal for witnesses right at the start to help them, why again a full year later.

Having analysed the evidence, the Met said it is possible Madeleine is alive, and they believe she was abducted.

For the Met said read the TM said

I am becoming less and less optimistic about the whole 'review'. Of course it's possible she is alive because nobody has so far discovered her body. But unless they have uncovered some new evidence PJ didn't have, how can they possibly give more credence to abduction? roll

If the McCanns had a Liason Officer a year ago, and are being briefed and updated, and have collaborated with the new age progression picture of Madeleine aged 9, is this picture now on the front of the new book to help people find Madeleine

just watched that clip with Redwood! sorry but hes got his agenda imo. Clear this up, clear the british parents and push this agenda on the PJ , they will cave like last time and it will be left as Mccanns clean , shes abducted and we continue the search. No mention of analysing the Dog evidence and the strong idications they gave? I dont imagine the dogs will be shown or talked about tonight. Very very sad affair indee, not to mention it reeks!, if they really had strong evidence she is alive then what the hell are they doing attending interviews, get on with it and find her!.

There seems to be some backtracking, originally we were told they were not going to comment, and that we would not hear the outcome of this review, so what has changed to make them come out and say all this now.

Bizarre Candyfloss. It has taken 37 officers a year to investigate a quarter of the evidence, which means of course, this will continue for another 3 years or so. What are doing? Are they following up all the sightings? Including the hoaxes, the nutcases and Clarence Mitchell?

video clip stopping and starting for me, cant watch it. brunts tweet bizarre, makes no sense.evidence she may be alive has to mean they know where she is surely? and they would just not be on this programme saying they think they can solve it.they would say they can find her and go and try to...
The police have no business discussing conclusions and dismissing speculation if only a quarter way through their work.
Maybe due to pressure from above he wants the PJ to take charge and get on with what they could not last time.and passes them the evidence they need to re open.
If this case is not investigated thoroughly and the issues with dogs and discrepancies and the bloody phone records sorted I will be so depressed...... I just want the truth of what happened to Maddie.

sp what did he say exactly? British press has an agenda in the way it reports and in this case it is very us against them. Brit v Portuguese police. I have not seen any reporting from the quality press in UK that does not disrespect the police force Portugal re this case.

I agree, my reading of events if you push away all the "spin", "hype" and lazy reporting of today is that what TM have feared, dreaded and had no desire to happen is just about to - the case is going to be reopened and all those questions they've done so well to avoid and side step are going to re-surface and be asked of them again.

Yes, but ........... have they analysed ALL the evidence - I doubt it. Have they looked at the Mcs bank account, credit card details, phone calls, medical records and any other relevant records. If they haven`t, they can hardly say they`ve analysed all the evidence.
