An extraordinary valiant attempt, with the use of disassociating language, to exonerate themselves and, mitigate the severity of leaving three small children alone. When talking about leaving the children Kate says, " it wasn't even a decision, that's how safe it felt". She is disassociating herself from even having had to make a decision to do so and qualifying it by saying she would never have taken a risk. The reinforcement of the statement with the qualification serves to further suggest to me the possibility that none of this happened and the children were not left alone.

Observe GM's facial expression when he talks about making regular checks in his attempt to normalise their actions notably where he lowers his voice and his eyes to say 'every night' implies a certain hesitation to the addition of this as if it is a mental reminder to himself to say it.

Notice when they talk about the previous crying episode when Madeleine asked them where they were, the episode is played down somewhat, with trivialising language such as she doesn't want to dwell on it too much and Madeleine's comment was made in passing. She then goes on to say that it was very odd but makes no attempt to say why. Crucially, it is here, that I would have expected Kate to offer what her/their explanation to Madeleine had been for their absence but, this was also avoided by saying she moved on., Interestingly Kate says she must have gone straight back to sleep but fails to address the same possibility for the other (also crying) twin.
Gerry reinforces what Kate has said by impressing that when asked about it Madeleine was fine and 'just dropped' (the topic) I assume he means, but he also speculates about when it was that she cried without having asked her and instead, offering a possible explanation of his own. (When they were first put down to sleep when they were very tired) which really makes no sense to me as either one or the other would have been there to see it wouldn't they?? Unless someone else did.

Sonia Poulton - self proclaimed freelance journalist, activist, advocate of freedom of speech and all round good egg has very recently collaborated with a kindred spirit by the name of Shaun Attwood over on the brandnewtube platform.

After only a matter of weeks already. for some reason, they have parted company but that's an aside.

Ms Poulton is as always passionate about the case of missing Madeleine McCann, at least when not commentating on other worldly matters of importance, and is thus using the case to catapult her latest venture in the domain of alternative YouTubing.

To that I say bravo! We are all here to keep public awareness of the case alive and kicking but ....
