Clarence Mitchell was seconded to Portugal in May 2007, not to assist the PJ or help the search using his media connections, but to protect the McCanns

Makes you wonder why, does it not.

Richard Branson was another one, donated £100,000 to the McCanns, not to find Madeleine but to clear their names.
