I do remember one poster from 3A who had a tendency to have a few drinks then go onto the forum and spout some outrageous, even threatening remarks about the McCanns...The vast majority of posters were appalled at his behaviour and he soon became persona non grata. However, I have no recollection of him ever threatening to abduct the twins to find out what they knew about their sister's disappearance and I'm quite sure the mods would have stepped in and deleted his posts if he had.
Whilst there are many of us who are angry with the McCann's for the situation they put their kids in and their subsequent lies and legal action against anyone who dissents, I don't think there are any of us who would want to cause the McCann's any physical harm and most certainly would not want to see harm of any sort to the twins.

I was on 3As and even acted as a moderator for some time and I don't remember any such talk about abducting the twins. I did leave the forum about two months before it shut down so I don't know what happened in that time.

Gerry McCann was forced to contact police after threats were made to kidnap one of their twins by vigilantes, inspired by a detective’s book on the case, in a bid to find out what really happened, a court heard.

Gerry McCann contacted Leicestershire Police about the threats and Mr Wright was interviewed at his home in Skipton, Yorkshire by officers.

They really are going for the lurid headlines with no thought whatsoever for the feelings of their 8 year old twins, I am shaking my head in despair that not one of their experts, or even the grandparents have stepped in and pointed out the trauma they are putting those kids through.
On a different point, wasn't Michael Wright the cousin (or cousin's husband) when spent several weeks out in PDL? As I recall he was the other named driver of the hire car and spoke about the blood dripping from meat he had bought and put in the boot. I may be wrong, can anyone confirm?

The blood from an animal would have a different DNA to human DNA whoever mentioned about blood being in the boot.

Is this the wright who said this in his statement.
On a number of occasions he noticed an unpleasant smell in the vehicle that he put down to the twins used nappies which had been discarded with the general waste. He was not aware of any spillages in the vehicle or anyone cleaning it.

I don't think the McCanns are bothered about the headlines in the media affecting the twins. They are making sure the press report the thought of suicide etc., as they know the British public will read it and feel sympathy, Kate might even sell a few more books. There is over £1m at stake here, so what if it affects the twins, the McCanns will probably sue the press for the mental damage it has caused the twins. The McCanns left the children alone in PDL when they were younger, why would they start caring now. Besides there's no money to be made from caring and that is all that motivates them.

McCanns - Crap Parenting... then and now.
I'm sorry to say it, but yet again the McCanns style of parenting is being called into question after revelations during their recent court action.
Yesterday's snippets included details of Kate's dark and suicidal thoughts. Today's told of a bizarre kidnap plot threaded in the 3As forum. I won't detail any of these crazy tales as they're not worth the bandwidth however, I will say that I was a member of that particular forum from day one, and do not remember any threats to the safety of the McCann children. If I had, I would have reported it to the police myself, as I'm sure anyone else would.
Goncalo Amaral initially requested that the case be heard in private with no media presence to 'preserve the memory of Madeleine' - the McCanns objected and wanted everything heard and reported.
What kind of parent would want such awful, horrible things about themselves reported and tweeted live from court, then emblazoned on the front pages of British newspapers?
Remember the twins?...
Do Kate and Gerry McCann? Do they even remember that they are parents? Gerry referred to leaving children home alone whilst eating and drinking with friends at the Tapas bar as 'responsible'. Do they even know the meaning of the word? Any 'normal' parent would think hey we can't let this stuff get out, the kids would be horrified'...
These gruesome parents should be hauled over the coals for allowing this to happen and even more so for objecting to Goncalo Amaral's request for media silence. Their whole case seems to be in defence of what the twins may or may not see and hear now and in the future. From what we've heard so far from the McCanns own witnesses, they'd have been aswell inviting the twins along sit in the public gallery.
Hopefully this is something that will also puzzle the judge.

Thank you. I have just found his statement. He is indeed the cousin's husband and a named driver of the hired car.
