title
Will be an identical front cover to the hard back version I presume. I wonder did Kate give any thought to her daughter reading this book as she intends her to. Seeing as Madeleine would object most forcefully to being addressed as Maddie......would her daughter not be a little miffed to see that her name is not given a capital "M" on the cover? She is referred to quite correctly as Madeleine throughout the book......why is the title then "madeleine " ? definition below :
The madeleine (French pronunciation: [mad.lɛn], English /ˈmædleɪn/) or petite madeleine ([pə.ti mad.lɛn]) is a traditional small cake from Commercy and Liverdun, two communes of the Lorraine region in northeastern France.
This is even worse than being called Maddie imo. Why on earth did Kate McCann not insist her daughter's name was spelt correctly on the cover? With a capital "M".

Marian wrote:I've looked at Amazon and we seem to have the wrong end of the stick. It's not Kate reading the novel herself but the actress Lesley Sharp.
Here's a link to a photo of her, she's been on TV quite a lot lately but sadly my opinion of her has just gone down the drain.

Imo this is a disappointment for Kate. NOT a top of the line actress, a fairly unknown one. Now if it had been Lumley, Knightly or Emma Watson, I'm sure that would be more to her taste.
Will be interesting to hear page 129. btw Madeleine is a version of the name Magdalene.

Naughty naughty, Amazon Are they trying to tell us something? Reminds me of the page you printed up from the Express...sharonl wrote: [img][/img]
There is one difference between those books. I bought one, would never buy the other. No prizes for guessing which :) The book about Matthews is a good read, actually.
