Whatever Happened to DCI Andy Redwood? He got a nice 'top job' with the Financial Conduct Authority

It appears that following his noble efforts for the country, for Madeleine McCann and her parents, former DCI Andy Redwood has now landed a top job at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

So he is the Principal Investigation Officer at the Competition & Markets Authority.
Nice work if you can get it. He will probably be on a salary approaching £100,00 p.a., if not more, plus his police pension which could be about the same, or more.
The Mission Statement of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is:
"The FCA serves the public interest through the objectives given to us by Parliament".
Well, in his last job. we might put it like this:
"DCI Andy Redwood served the interests of the British government and the McCanns through the objectives given to him by Rupert Murdoch, Rebekah Brooks and Jim Gamble".

I was wondering when his name would surface again in the grand age of retirement.
Who says crime doesn't pay? Quite frequently it paves the way for a very very lucrative future.
Keep 'em sweet eh?
Meanwhile, the Portuguese case coordinator, the hub of the investigation - allegedly, is ruined.
Life ain't fair nor square.

DCI salary around £50 - £60k, so pension maybe half to two-thirds.

Similarly from glassdoor, Principal Investigation Officer £54,885, which probably comes from when the job was advertised.
Still nice work if you can get it, but probably less scope for those little trips abroad at the taxpayers expense.

I wonder what relevant experience he has to land a job relating to financial conduct? Auditing perhaps?
