I'm impressed by the number of lies and the amount of obfuscation that can be fitted into two and a half minutes. When asked about the growing, public suspicion that they were involved in their child's disappearance, Kate answers as if the criticism and consequently, the question, referred to their decision to dine at the Tapas Bar. Gerry states the obvious (with great gravitas) saying they have been advised by experts that it is very helpful to announce that someone is missing when he/she goes missing. They then stress the importance of not locking themselves away in a bedroom but actually getting on with actively searching. He doesn't even blush as he says this. 10/10 for brass necks.

Gerry McCann is an experienced public speaker - the missus ain't. There lies the difference.

Kate McCann is an experienced play actor (although she hasn't ever quite managed to perfect the art) - the old man ain't. There lies the difference.

Outside of that, they've played an equal part in a serious crime and subsequent deception.

Hi GoGetemGoncalo,is this another "Freudian slip up"103 on the tape,Madeleine was there on the Bed? then rushed into "Our Bedroom" to see if Madeleine was there?
Yet on another video,Kate, refers to the Door being"blown shut" re-opens the door slightly couldn't see Madeleine? Then stated that she could see the Twins through a Partial slightly opened door opening from Left to right hand side,which would be impossible?
A bit like"Mathew's"check at 21.30,door slightly a jar,couldn't see Madeleine! But could see the"Twins Breathing" from behind a slightly ajar Door?
Gerry seems to be agitated by Kate speaking to Sandra,you can see his hands reaching across to"Message Kate"SShH,then garbles Bull s**t about Doctor training summon help first,but his wife presumed to leave the other Two children,running for assistance!

What I find interesting in the responses that Kate & Gerry make in this clip is their desire to reinforce a close-knit family unit. Unfortunately Kate slips a couple of times :

0:14 (KM) I still have hope (whoops)....we still have hope

3:59 (GM) Gerry stutters to say "twins" when he really wants to say "brother & sister"

6:33 (KM) My daughter

11:33 (GM) "Father of three children" seems a strange answer when "how lucky I was to be her father" would have been the obvious one

11.50 They're both very prickly at the mention of drugging/sedation

12:40 (GM) "the search for Madeleine, OUR daughter". Why the emphasis ?

Wouldn't you think a distraught 'loving' parent of a lost child is more likely to refer to the child by name rather than the girl or a child or my/our daughter or a little girl?

The drug thing I've never gone along with. I don't believe Madeleine, the twins or any of their friends children were left alone every evening - or even one evening, thus no need to drug them.

I believe the drug issue was only raised to facilitate the phantom abductor. Think about it - it was the McCanns who introduced the subject in the first place and then continued to promote the idea indefinitely. They never said anything without reason.

Think again - Kate McCann draws attention to the twins being semi-conscious on the night of 3rd May, so severe were the signs she had to keep checking their breathing and yet she did nothing about it - nor her husband, friends, Ocean Club staff, the GNR, the PJ? Then months later, there was much talk of having the twins tested, this time in order to clear their names when the pendulum was swinging too far in their direction.

I don't buy it bignono

. Whatever, old poker face doesn't reveal anything other than emotionless complaisance and guilt.
