It's Bank Holiday weekend. It's also days before payday for many folk.

The fact remains that £21k has already been offered up and will continue.

It probably won't come from large donations but more of a trickle.

That doesn't alter the sentiment and belief that GA deserves to have funds in order to have legal representation in a civil lawsuit. Just as Tony Bennett deserved the same but didn't have the support at the time. Whether you agree or disagree with either GA or Tony Bennett, they were gagged and the general population who contributed to the Madeleine Fund unwittingly paid for that.

Guilty as charged. I very recently questioned your authenticity as I had never previously heard of your name so I asked if anyone had checked you out. Your connection has subsequently been explained to me so I have no reason to further question your GoFundMe account. Have to admit I googled GoFundMe as I'd never heard of it before, when I saw it was a name to be used by anyone who wishes to raise money for any cause, my immediate thought was 'allo 'allo 'allo, something very fishy 'ere.

I trust you will excuse and forgive my doubting you (I'm suspicious by nature), IMO cyberspace can be a very dangerous place, some of the things I've seen makes me very suspicious of motives, there is so much deception and duplicity it's hard to trust anyone.

Thank you for taking the trouble to explain your position, much appreciated.

For your information I have no allegiance with the McCann faction in any way shape or form. If as a member you care to check my profile statistics, past comments should clarify exactly where I stand on the subject! I have read the link you posted and I'm totally aware of Dr. Amaral's plight resulting from the McCanns avaricious, evil and vindictive motives. That has nothing to do with my orignal question.

I said I wasn't going to speak on the subject again but I won't be subjcted to false unfounded insinuations without defending myself. I find it deeply offensive to be accused of being associated with the McCann support network. Nina has now made the position clear, I have no desire to continue the subject. Be assured I meant no malice.

As an aside, I taken great pains in the past to defend this forum against unreasonable accusations of having an agenda or being a closed shop or people not being welcome unless they toe the line or being closet McCann'ites - please don't give me cause to regret supporting you guys.

Believe me I've been hanged, drawn and quartered over this case on some trifling little venue that feigns to liberally discuss the Madeleine McCann case (ha blooming ha). I've even been accused of being firmly ensconced right up TB's rear quarters - don't know who would suffer more from such a seemingly impossible physical contortion, all sounds a bit yucky to me.

Oh i know what you mean, i am gobsmacked by some of the stuff i read sometimes, not just here either.
But i try not to take any of it seriously, after all its a blog and we don't really know the people behind the pc.
I stay here because one day hopefully justice will be served for those that have been silenced, and when all is said and done it really is all about an innocent child that needs to be found, but sadly so many missing children are never found sad
