BBC Newswatch - just now Empty BBC Newswatch - just now

Didn't manage to record it, but the BBC talking about, and allowing criticisms of its own coverage of the story, and its endless "trailing" of the Crimewatch programme.
particularly saying the McCanns had their own publicity MACHINE . .

Hope someone has taped it or can get hold of it.

BBC Newswatch - just now B03d6dmqNot currently available on BBC iPlayer
Duration: 15 minutes
Viewers' opinions on the coverage of events by BBC News, addressed by the editors and decision makers in charge. This week, the disappearance of Madeleine McCann was in the news again. Why does the case get so much more attention than those of other missing children?

On again in the early hours tomorrow morning if someone is up that late can tape it...........

Thanks, I've tweeted it. People are getting fed up to the back teeth with the name McCann. Whilst they feel desperately sorry for the fate of a little 3 yr old girl, the McCanns constant PR campaign has alienated the Public from them and they are just too stupid and arrogant to realise it.

They are using the media and the public to try and get their own way with the law and the Courts and it is becoming blatantly obvious to Jo Public.

The BBC should have known better.

The reporter should have asked who paid for the CW show imo.

Presenter Samira Ahmed says it's a case with a "huge PR campaign strategy behind it" unlike most other missing child cases.    Ahmed is a good journalist.

I think people are beginning to wonder the mentality of a couple who have kept such a massive PR campaign running for so many years. Only narcissists have the mindset to be so arrogant and one track driven IMO.

Right from the beginning before I suspected them I wondered why on earth they were doing so much pointless PR and fundraising.  It's police work that finds missing people, not huge public campaigns.
