Regarding the Crimewatch reconstruction - It would have to be done with the light levels the same as they were on the 3rd May.  I don`t know when lighting up time was on 3rd May, but there must be a corresponding day in the Autumn.  There`s no point doing a reconstruction at all if they don`t have the correct light levels.
October 3rd?
No.

9th August.

3rd May was 49 days before the day when the sun is at its highest in the northern hemisphere: 21 June.

49 days after that is 9th August.
But could it be done at a different time, but done at a time when the lighting would have been exactly the same. For example, half hour later so the lighting would correspond with the lighting of the 3 May? Just a thought!

Would new theory result in arrest? Of who?

It's new evidence that will get the case reopen in Portugal.

Besides, Redwood didnt say what his old theory was? Last we heard it was 50/50 Maddie could be alive or sadly dead.

Well it's all been filmed - so when was it done?  The MSM must have known about this...........and the news comes out today.
Sunset in Faro on May 3rd was at 20.23.
The nearest corresponding sunset is 15th August.

So perhaps the reconstruction was done then.

Detectives said "fresh and substantive" information would emerge on 14 October, when the BBC broadcasts a Crimewatch appeal.
Any chance the * fresh and substantive* information could be the entry/exit point in the her parents statements that the Public were not told about?

Or any chance the it would be about JT going passed GM and JW but they didn't see her?

 Is this right?

Kate & Gerry have already agreed to stand shoulder to shoulder with detectives on the Crimewatch programme (whether live or pre-recorded I am not sure, presumably the latter).

The reconstruction has probably been done, is in the can, and was probaaly approved by the McCann Team weeks ago.

The only thing left to be decided was which Monday the Crimewatch programme was to be shown.

They have chosen 14 October. Why is anyone's guess.

All I want to say, and I acknowledge the optimism of sallypelt, ShuBob and many others, is that there must be a very very good professional reason for the police and the BBC to give us a Crimewatch special on Madeleine McCann 6 years and 5 months after her disappearance.

Just as there must also be a very very good professional reason for Scotland Yard to want to:

* interview 41 persons of interest
* examine 37,148 documents
* pursue nearly 4,000 'actions'
* pursue, in 31 countries, the ownership of thousands of cell phones (many of them pay-as-you-go) and the data on them
* establish a team based in the Algarve to conduct their ongoing investigations.

What is the purpose and premise of Crimewatch?

That someone watching will come up with the vital clue which will solve the crime.

So it remains to be seen exactly what they want the millions of people watching the programme to do

It should be remembered that the Philpotts did a shoulder to shoulder appeal with the Met police alongside them and look how that turned out.

Redwood actually said they had 2 lines of enquiry (meaning 2 separate enquiry teams I expect), one focusing on the theory she is dead and the other team focusing on the theory she is alive.

Jerry Lawton ‏@JerryLawton 3h
Madeleine #McCann parents have filmed pre-recorded segments for Crimewatch and will be live in studio
Filmed, pre recorded?  By who ? Mccans with the helo of film-making girl Loach?

Would this be Rothley scene where kate asked one of the twins "shall we let him in"?
Or would this the whooshing curtains gesturing with both arms?

Come to think of it, maybe this whole thing was directed by Yard and produced by Loach? Who knows?
Was it BBC that filmed it?

Why did Martin Brunt shuttle back and forth from Lisbon following Kate & Gerry just a hawk, but not there for most of the process?

They could film the results...

QUOTE

Jerry Lawton ‏@JerryLawton 3h

Portuguese police has appointed team of 6 senior detectives based in Faro to assist Met 37-strong squad with Madeleine #McCann investigation

UNQUOTE

++++++++++++++++++++

So the SY team has suddenly increased by 16% in size - from 37 staff to 43 staff. And all of these new 6 staff are senior detectives.

Add to that the fact that this team of 6 detectives will not only be getting the salaries of senior detectives but also their accommodation will be paid - hotels or B&B or maybe a cosy 6-bed apartment on rent for 6 months - plus travelling to and from Praia da Luz and Portimao and to visit 41 'persons of interest' - and of course a generous 'subsistence allowance'.

The daily cost of this already £6-million investigation has probably gone up by at least 25%

Dr Martin Roberts: "The evidence is that these are the pjyamas Madeleine wore on holiday in Praia da Luz. They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

Amelie McCann (aged 2): "Maddie's jammies!".

I thought Scotland Yard didn't want a media circus?

If this new and substantive information is of such great importance why has the case not been reopened?

Earlier this year they had 38 leads.  Now they have 41. But, 3 of those are to be eliminated. Which brings us back to 38. Why would they release such useless information?

If Scotland Yard is investigating phone records, why don't they just get on with it?

Why are they creating a media circus in the middle of the libel trial when it is something they said they wished to avoid because of their 'sensitive' ongoing inquiries?

Hopefully Emma Loach was not involved in the filming of the latest reconstruction.

Whatever it is, it's clear the Met don't think it would lead to finding a live Maddie. Otherwise, they won't wait till the 14th to release the information.
